Thanks for posting. A lot of classes will probably look like this when you look back. Schools will probably fill their classes by going to the portal more and more and get guys that have some skins on the wall.

Goes to show how many “misses” that staff had. Some guys were highly rated and it’s surprising they haven’t produced but there aren’t many sure things in transitioning from high school to college. That list is very eye opening. Thanks Sirhornsalot!

There are different types of transfers in the list. Obviously Bru McCoy left pre NIL and automatic transfer eligibility and it was related to some personal issues.  Then you have guys like Marcus Washington and Casey Thompson who left on their own probably so they could get more playing time and maybe NIL. And finally you have a bunch of guys that entered the portal based on scholarship availability.  How and why these guys left seems relevant to evaluating their relative success at their new schools.

Looking at the list it's clear that the new Era of transfer portal and NIL has predictably helped Texas much more then it has hurt us.

Glad to see a lot of those guys are doing well and getting to play. I hope every kid gets a good college experience. But can also say I don’t really miss any of them!
