dennis, are you feeling ok? i present this query to you, upon an effort to give you the benefit of the doubt.. as per your extremely arbitrary statement highlighted above in red. heck, i find your statement is so profound,
that i do not know just how to respond.... well, i shall begin with the money! i monarch, have never, ever, professed to being a rich man by any means period. however, i have definitely professed to being a hard worker.
i have worked along side the US Military upon the Theater of Afghanistan as per basically a decade. while i was there, i damn near turned half of a very fundamentalist country, heavily steeped in a muslim religion, culture, and tradition..
into a burnt orange crazed paradise. year upon year.. i have spent thousands and thousands, and thousands of dollars of my very own money.. working 80+ plus hour weeks, with no days off, trying very hard to temper the tide of
young afghan teens and young adults that wanted something.. just something with TEXAS on it. this went on at damn near every base that i worked upon. and you know what dennis.. these were some of the poorest
individuals upon this planet earth. these young people of afghanistan, didn't have anything material wise. but there was one thing that stood out to me from the very start.. THEY HAD SWAG!
upon my view, swag, is not about maroon and silver helicopters... it's about attitude! strength, momentum, self confidence in spite of profound adversity. i'm certain that you get the message....

surely, you don't believe that it was mack brown's illustrious play calling that won that highly coveted game.. do you? if it wasn't for vince's SWAG and foremost self confidence, TEXAS would
not have been in that game in the first place. heck, don't you remember hearing about the evening football practice, when mack brown went out upon the field with his pant's sagging in front of the player's,
and everyone went crazy... now surely, you do.

you don't think that i honor and respect the overall mystique, tradition, and culture of texas? you would have to be wholeheartedly kidding me...
i for one, simply do not recall seeing you standing there, in afghanistan.. surrounded by throngs of burnt orange clad afghans, listening to one of my myriad of LHB cd's shipped in from austin, tx,
trying in earnest to teach them TEXAS FIGHT.. along with showing many of them, the proper way of putting up your horns. not to mention, many of the 65' inch tv's that i had shipped into our base
camps, so that they could actually watch a TEXAS game in action. and you should see the look's upon their faces.. while watching a TEXAS game.. you shall never forget it..
you see dennis, the thing that get's me with some of your arbitrary rhetoric, is that i know that you love TEXAS. it is ingrained within your very soul.. just as mine.
however, the very thing that separates us two.. is that i am smart vs astute enough, to step away from the past glory of TEXAS.. and realize that i am now upon the present.
now, why don't you step away from your perch, and ask a few of those recruits that have been glorifying the media.. just what do they think about darrell royal? i can bet you most anything,
that many, if not most of them.. may not even know who darrell royal is... just try it!
sorry my pal dennis (i love you guy) but i want the very best for the school that i love! i want the best recruits, the best facilities, the best coaches, the best everything. just like everyone else across this nation.
