2024-2025 Transfer Portal Thread

Until he gets drafted, you never know....Carson Beck declared for the draft, then changed his mind to go to Miami
If you declare for the NFL draft you have 72 hours to revoke it. After that you can only come back if you are undrafted.

Is he getting #7? Is Muhammad mad he isn’t? Or should Gilbeau get it? We know Jonah getting it down the road.

16 is the number he chose to honor his friend and mentor Jackson Coker, who was killed. No way he changes his number.

Washington and receiver Johntay Cook part ways

Former Texas wideout Johntay Cook, one of the gems of Washington’s portal class, is no longer part of the program…

Dawgman has confirmed that former Texas wide receiver,Johntay Cook, who signed with Washington in December after entering the transfer portal. The move comes after the wide receiver and head coach Jeff Fisch made the decision to part ways in a meeting this afternoon.

Cook was considered by recruiting networks to be the gem of Washington’s portal class for the 2025 cycle. He was expected to come in and challenge for a starting job right away with the loss of Giles Jackson and Jeremiah Hunter to graduation.

Cook was the only wide receiver signed by Washington from the portal so now they can still turn their attention to the portal to pick up another wide receiver or they can rely on a bevy of talented but inexperienced wide receivers who are already on the roster.

Denzel Boston who led the Huskies in receiving touchdowns this season with nine while finishing second in receiving yards and receptions, returns and there is also promising third year sophomore Rashid Williams, who the coaches have reportedly been very excited about.

Dawgman will have more on this developing story soon so stay tuned to the site.

That first sentence is not a sentence. It really frustrates me reading some of these sites. Where is the editor?! Makes it hard to read.

Portal closes on the 16th for Texas players.
I believe they have to have the paperwork in by tomorrow, the 15th. There is then 48 hours for it to hit the portal. Most make public announcements so likely we know all by tomorrow - by Friday we will officially know.

Tomorrow is the last day to declare for the NFL draft as well.

There was a lot of noise this morning about portal concerns for Hill, Simmons, and Wingo. Appears there was a decent amount of money getting thrown their way. Sounds like they're all locked in though.

That said, sounds like Muhammad might be a potential portal candidate?
Muhammad had a rough time against Clemson and Az St. Both teams picked on him relentlessly. The 42 yd Skattebo pass when he looked lost was brutal. He played better against Ohio St but he definitely has room to improve. I would love to keep him but he’s replaceable.
If I had to lose one of the four I’d pick Manny.

I still believe he lost it in the lights however I agree it was not his finest moment because it was such a bad pass
.

Are you sure? There's got to be a team with a grass field with a crabgrass or clover problem that would draft you.

I dont think the NFL has a grass field. I could be wrong, but I haven't watched the NFL in years.
