Maybe experienced depth behind Arch next year? Don’t know anything about him but I wouldn’t think he’s anything more than spring depth.

Arch is going to need all the snaps he can get next season to develop and no one behind him has any experience whatsoever. Makes sense to have an experienced backup who could step in if necessary. He's also a preferred walk-on so basically a freebie insurance policy.

No, his brother would likely never start for us. But he's got nice size and good speed and would make a great special teams player as well as a backup at Safety.

Before you let that disappoint you, remember we've had Max Merrill on scholarship here for 4 years. Branch's brother would make a far bigger contribution to the team.

Well crap. I know WR is the least of their worries, but would be nice to have someone of Branch's caliber to pair with Wingo and Moore next year. Would love Arch to have lots of weapons. Maybe Locket or Ffrench hit the lineup like Smith did for Ohio State.

My guess is, they didn't like the package deal with the Branch brothers.

I trust this staff to find the right guys, but Branch was also dynamic in the return game.

He is essentially the replacement for Cole Lourd. A 3rd/4th string QB for practice squad or injury emergencies.
