That's him. I was disappointed he didn't pan out until his junior season and then left.Maalik Jefferson?

He was a blazing fast pass-rushing OLB who our coaching staff moved to MLB to wrestle with interior OL-men so that he could "be in on more tackles."That's him. I was disappointed he didn't pan out until his junior season and then left.
Off topic, but I think the best HS player I ever saw in person was OJ McClintock. He was caught up in the bizarre "spin down" era on the 40, and went from: WR to Safety to LB and ended his career at DE. He got gametime, but never started. I thought this was a travisty.I get it, but why give yourself the aggravation? I don't know if you remember a recruit by the name of Desean Hales, but he had the best high school tape I had ever seen for a WR. He saw the field for maybe 10 plays in his college career. Him coupled with Garrett Gilbert taught me to take the bad with good when it came to players who didn't live up to their billing. Another was the LB Charlie Strong recruited (his name escapes me at the moment).
These guys are , in college, making huge money. With great talent comes with great responsibility! ...If he cant catch it, lets just call him Burt and go to the next guy....
Oldhorn2, I hate to belabor the issue, but Wingo threw an important block on that last drive. You know Baron?....I just cant feel that way. Wingo in indeed special. Thas why I just cant get over him not finishing plays that a jag could do easily. He has the ungodly talent to get open....then screws it up with a flub non catch. I sometimes think we should just use him as a decoy to clear space....Plays like that are the difference in going 1st round or 4th....
I do believe the concept of a WR catching the ball is a good one. We agree on this.Baron....dont get the idea I dont want Wingo in there.... I know he is special......however....he is officially on notice that if he does not start finishing those magnificent plays he makes, I will (along with his agent) be mighty pissed off to the highest extent of pisstivity.
We've discussed this in the past, but on occasion, I still have nightmares about missing tackles on OJ McClintockOff topic, but I think the best HS player I ever saw in person was OJ McClintock. You played against him? I went to the same high school (a bit before he did). He dominated games in high school. We've discussed this in the past, but on occasion, I still have nightmares about missing tackles on OJ McClintock![]()
