Spring Football 2026

Yes, sounds like he's on the Littleton plan at the moment. Long way to go though.
Yeah.... I tried to verify what I said about Samari and could not find Burton saying he might challenge for starting can by the 5th game....I did see where Burton said he might be like Littleton and be hard to keep off the field.

I'm in the Curt Cignetti philosophy camp: "production over potential." Performance on the field as opposed to hype, podcasts, media, etc.

Sark and Texas are hosting a coaching clinic this weekend. Coaches are in from all over for this and they took in a Longhorn practice last night.

A couple of notes from OTF who spoke with some of the coachess:

"One coach who had seen multiple spring practices of other SEC schools told Gerry that Texas is the best looking team he’s seen yet. That list includes A&M, OU and Arkansas."

"I asked another coach via text what stood out the most about the practice.

His answer was simple:

”Size and speed.”

Two DE's were receiving praise. DE's not named Colin Simmons. That would be Lance Jackson and Colton Vasek.

Vasek is having a good spring and has remained healthy.

Samari Matthews had an INT last night.

I liked this Sark comment.
"If we let him, Simmons would wreck every practice"
