Hopefully Baxter’s injury isn’t serious. He’s had a rough time staying healthy early in his career. There is a lot of talent in that room but not much experience.

And it would show up in pass protection, IMO. Yeah, hope he's just dinged a little.

Good point. If it ends up that he is out for a while how does Texas adjust? Put a TE as an H back in the backfield or the next best RB that can pick up blitzers?

Regarding the Baxter knee injury, per OTF he could not put weight on it, but he did not feel a pop.

Baxter injury is pretty serious, I understand. They still say his ACL wasn't torn, but are hinting that some type of tear did take place. CJ Vogel said he expects Baxter to be out a long while.

#1 -1969 - James Street pass to Randy Peschel for 44 yards against Arkansas in the Game of the Century.

Others:
Ernie Koy ran 79 yards for a touchdown against Alabama in the 1965 Orange Bowl.

1963 - QB Duke Carlisle 1-yard QB sneak against A$M, with 1:19 left in the game, to beat Aggie 15-13. The TD capped a rally from 13-3 to win. This propeled Texas to a national championship.

1977- Earl Campbell's 60 yard screen pass touchdown against a$m. Earl had 222 yards and four TDs against the Aggies. This helped him clinch the Heisman Trophy.

1998 - Ricky Williams breaking the Tony Dorset's record on a 60-yard TD run against a$m, where he broke three tackles.

1990 - Peter Gardere TD 16 yard pass to Keith Cash on 4th down vs OU to win game.

1994 - Stonie Clark stopped OU running back James Allen a yard short of paydirt with 43 seconds to play to save the win.

One more that doesn't get a lot of fan fare: Tommy Nobis stopping Joe Namath at the goal line in 1965 Orange Bowl. It was spectacular!

Nice ones, I was at the last 3.

Robert Brewer scoring on a QB draw vs Bama in the 80 (?) Cotton Bowl was nice! James Brown's 4th down pass to D Lewis in the first Big XII against the Corn was thrilling!

That must have been awesome to see those live.

I was going to mention James Brown pass to D Lewis. Great play and memory.

1987 Texas vs Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas. Last play of the game, Brett Stafford hit Tony Jones with a pass into the end zone for the game winning touchdown. Jones was sandwiched between 2 defenders, hit hard and held on. Final score: Texas 16 - Arkansas 14. I was there and it was AWESOME!!! HOOK’EM

Dawson's 50 yard FG into the win vs Virginia and beating ou by scoring on 4th & 7 (Peter the Great to Walker or Cash if I remember correctly) late in the game.
I had the opportunity to talk to Phil about that kick when he spoke at our local FCA banquet. I helped with the silent auction stuff so I was able to get in early, take photo with him and talk. That kick was also into a 20 mph wind.

Yea, I noticed I left the "d" of the word wind in my post.
