TB14, it’s not that simple.

If you truly believe it is, explain why the WAC had a much lower TV contract than say, Big XII, SEC, or BIG.

Please don’t declare it is, like it is gospel, and expect us to take it at face value. This isn’t some junior college forum.

Hook ‘em!
It's written into the contract at signing. They don't just volunteer more money.

That’s not what I am talking about. Do you think all schools are equal?  One to one correlation?

Idk what you're talking about. lol I'm just saying Texas isn't getting less money this year from adding teams. The TV networks will pay slightly more for the new teams since it is more games to broadcast. Also the new teams take a much reduced revenue share their first 2-3 years in the league.

Guys, I have always thought it would happen in 2023. If you don’t, that’s ok.

Friday we completed a brutal 3 weeks of school. Kept grandkids Monday & Tuesday.
Followed SHA’s suggestions & got fresh mulch. Started spreading late yesterday. Must finish today. Temp in teens in morning.   Thought the HOA was going to do it. Jerks.

As my Dad would have said, my boat is loaded.  Enjoy the holidays!

Merry Christmas!
2023 starts in 11 days.  The shipped has sailed on Texas moving to the SEC next year.

I would say "not likely" but not impossible or unthinkable. But I think odds are that we begin SEC play in 2024. I do think you will hear this announced between now and end of spring.

It’s way closer to impossible. Football isn’t the only sport. If it was just football you could change when you wanted.  But to move all your sports is a different story. And I don’t want to sign up for too many Big 12 games in the future to make Fox Sports whole. TCU and Tech and Baylor just don’t sound like fun.

Football drives all things.

I've seen official announcements from Overshown and Bijan skipping the bowl game.  Did I miss one for Roschon?

Saw on another site that Chris Gilbert was being eyed for an assistant position at North Texas. Anyone confirm?

When IT posted recently they were pretty excited about a WR development, it was for Jordan Whittington.

They believe it's more likely than not that he returns for next season, but they will go more in-depth later on.
That would be huge for next year.

I remember JWhitt talking about his love and excitement for the game was back and it's because of Coach Marion.

Would love to run back Jwhitt, Worthy and Sanders with a some Cook, Thompson, Red and possibly Neyor (if healthy).

The offense will need to rely on the passing game without Bijan and Roschon next year (at least early on).  Nothing against Brooks, but Bijan and Rojo made things click when things bogged down.  Passing game to open the running game next year is the key.
