IT said both Banks and Williams went out, Williams went back in and Banks was able to return although the coaches kept him sidelined since he's proven himself already.
They repeated the issue is mild.
They also wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the season the starting OL is four freshmen plus Conner.
Hey TFloss,
I did see Jeff Howe on 247 reports from the 1st scrimmage and the open practice. He and IT are in agreement on the the OL.
He has said not certain if reported here, not going to read the the stalker of Card crap, but Sanders might be the best TE and can line up in-line thus we can truly do both in lining up in 11 personnel and 12 personnel (more this year).
That with X, Whitt, and the ISU GT wr, all three can interchange the position. Plus a surprise to me is that Cain has improved to being in the 2nd team of wrs.
Defensively, Broughton and Murphy are the best 2 inside DL that have shown to be disruptive with Collins ( prior to injury). Coburn, Sweat, and Ojomo will get playing time, but not like in the past.
The linebackers: the GT LB maybe is small, but he hits amd tackles as pr better than the rest of the LBs. The starters most likely are Overshown and Ford, but don't count the GT LB out.
The edges: Sorrell and Ovie most likely the starters, but Finkley, possibly Overshown/D.J. Harris with Prince D. all working at the 2nd team. But Tapp and Burke have been showing flashes of what they can do.
The secondary, Probably showing GP most influence. We are doing more press coverage. While Jamison is showing out, the backup J. Johnsonis showing to be as good with size. Barron at the (nickel/star position) is getting a major push from Jaylon Guilbeau. Haven't heard about anyone behind Watts.
Safeties: most likely Cook and Thompson with Blackwell and Crawford. Letting Coffey see some playing time.
Howe at 247 and a few at IT are saying the same thing.
