True. We all have that right, as is so often demonstrated on this board. Knowing WHY he thinks that though is much more important to me than the statement itself. All too often now we let political correctness blind us to the true intent of what was stated, and as Bear said, context is very important.

I agree with this. I love Earl, but am very disappointed in what he said.

I know thats not the guy I talked to one day in Tyler. IMO, the things he suffers from have probably had an affect on his mind. At least I hope thats what is happening there.

We all love Earl and always will but you just can’t do this nowadays. If you’re retired and sitting at home I suppose you can but if you are employed by a university and have been for a very long time, you just can’t do it. Maybe he’ll get a pass or maybe not. CDC let VY go, so it can happen

Just read on a Facebook page that we have multiple kids looking to transfer. Also said there are as many as 3 coaches probably gone. Different names were Zach Arnett, Kevin Steele,  Jimmy Lake and possibly an OC

Well, we know of two, Shepherd and Pouncey. And we know that Shepherd basically got kicked off the team. But I'm not quite sure what you're saying in your last sentence.

Agree with this. If quoted correctly, Earl's statement was very racist and asinine.

The last sentence has names of potential DC’s. I was also saying they might be looking for a new OC. The way I interpreted the article was there are more potential transfer portal candidates than the two you mentioned. It also spoke about TH spending a lot of time and energy with the younger guys trying to keep them here

It wouldn't bother me a bit to replace both the OC and DC. And just for good measure throw in a position coach or 2 or 3. Regarding TH spending a lot of time with the younger, OB says that he had individual meetings with every member of the 19 class this week. Wouldn't surprise me to see more players enter the portal. Realistically, that's where all of college football is with the portal. Most every team is going to deal with from now on.
