*****Texas vs. Notre Dame Game Thread*****

Great play call! Notre Dame ate it up. Now that I think about it, the Notre Dame defensive line has to be completely incapable of knowing if it's a screen or just another play.

Swoopes is going to get seriously hurt. He's too big and too slow to run straight up like that. He's already had his clocked cleaned once.

Malik Jefferson will be All Conference, Frosh of the Year, and prolly Frosh of the Year AA if he continues to play like this.

Daje made a nice play. Bout time.

Swoopes is entirely predictable on pass plays. Most cases he tucks and runs right up the middle. Where's the arm?

Even when Swoopes has time he is throwing very poorly! They aren't even rushing him right now and he cant put a decent pass up.

Swoopes is beyond rattled. He's clearly looking at the coming DL and not his progression.

To be honest, I kind of blame us fans for that to a degree. The kid wants to succeed so bad and prove himself to the fans and his teammates so bad that he's taking a beating. I'm sure it was a really rough year listening to all of the detractors last season. It's admirable watching him charge at these linebackers. But in reality, it's going to end up in him getting hurt and watching Heard take his job anyways. I agree about Malik and Daje. And yeah, sadly Swoopes doesn't seem to have the confidence to trust his arm in those situations. If he sees five yards open, he's not going to take the risk of throwing it.

I hate to be a Swoopes hater but.....His Tunnel Vision is killing us..Hes watching the rush instead of reading his progressions
I am a Swoopes hater and his play is why... There is no other adjective that can be used to describe him other than "incapable." Zero progress from last year. I realize the OLIne is doing him no favors but he's been practicing with these guys all year... Their play should not be a surprise. Amazing...

Dang, Nick was 2 of 3 from 52 yards but unfortunately the ones he made didn't count.

To be honest, success breeds success. Likewise, struggles breed more struggles.

We have a narrow window of time to complete a pass. So do it. At least once or twice.

You have a rifle arm and can put it where its needed, even in tight spaces, because of the velocity. Throw the damned ball.

OL, at best, can win half of the battles. So make plays on half the plays. No threat from our WRs so far. RBs show flair when given a shot to.

Secondary seems to be playing not to lose. We may need to gamble some in the 2nd half.
