SignUp Now!That's the truth!Strong said some interesting things on LHN tonight about recruiting.
1-That we only have 4-5 scholarships available. Hmmm, do we have silent commits or is he pressuring other recruits?
2-Strong said he encourages visits even when committed. So you can pretty much rest assured that Lampkin/UCLA story is BS. That's why I never bought that story to begin with. Umm Strong encourages visits. Not to mention that Lampkin visited OU. You're telling me Strong disallowed Lampkin to visit UCLA but allowed him to visit our rival, ok.
3-Strong, "With these kids now, a commitment is nothing but a reservation."
Pretend it's like Christmas..Juan I'm in Florida, an hour later than most here... I'm going to have a hard time sleeping now.
This was all in quotes, who is doing the speaking? If you tell us will you have to kill us?"The word going around the grapevine today was that strong knocked it out of the damn park yesterday on the visit. Knocked it out. Whatever kyler was expecting, it surpassed it in a big, big way. "
"It sounds like a decision has been made and that a press conference will be held next week to make the announcement. There won't be a hat game or anything remotely similar. From what i was told on thursday night, this will be done with the intention of highlighting who murray signs with and not the opposite. "
"In addition to all of the good news on the kyler murray front, the longhorns have made a huge move with cedar hill wide receiver damarkus lodge and once source with knowledge of his recruitment said that the longhorns were now in lodge's top two, along with mississippi. It's a rather stunning development in the minds of some that know lodge personally, but his interest in the longhorns was described today as "very real" and the rebels were described as "very beatable" per one person we spoke with on thursday night"
helluva coincidence. the OB's WarRoom had these passages verbatim."The word going around the grapevine today was that strong knocked it out of the damn park yesterday on the visit. Knocked it out. Whatever kyler was expecting, it surpassed it in a big, big way. "

Yep, no reason Kyler would need another press conference/announcement if he was staying committed to A&M.Yeah, Ketchum isn't really hedging his bets on this one - he left himself a little bit of wiggle-room, but he pretty much just called Kyler to Texas with an announcement next week.
Higdon: Less than that lol.Strong just said on LHN that we only have 4-5 ships left to handout. Accurate?
If you heard what Strong said on Longhorn Extra about recruits taking visits, then we have some guys committed to us but they just want to enjoy the recruiting process. Boyd and Hill are two that come to mind. I would be shocked if Boyd went anywhere other than Texas. From another board...
