2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Do they crystal ball coaching hires or is this time honored tradition reserved for 18 yr old highschool kids?
Actually, I just checked and I didn't see what everyone was talking about - no one was CBing Murray on the entire board.

I saw it when it was posted...I had to look up who the guy was.  (the CEO of 24/7).

They may have removed it.

Ok after a lot of thought I can really see kyler coming here. I don't put a lot of weight into the legacy debate, any good dad wants what is best for their son and is going to try to pursuade their son in the right direction.

The fact that our baseball program is top notch, coach strong and Kevin Murray are friends, Malik is here, kyler knows he is a day one starter here, and he has the potential to be here with a bunch of other friends (hill, Boyd, malik, and MAYBE MACK)

I'm going to be bold here and put all my chips here on black and spin the roulette wheel, he is going to flip.
Well said.  Those on here that know me know I was raised in Austin and have listened to that clanging phallic symbol all of my life.  I have two degrees from UT and burnt orange blood running through my veins.

Yet, when my daughter told me she wanted to be a large animal veterinarian, there was only one place to go - Texas A&M.  A school that I have hated for my entire life, but has a damn fine Veterinarian school..

So we do what we have to do to help our kids.  Even choke down the bile that I felt writing checks to that place.

It's the penance I have to pay for letting her grow up around horses.

Another freebie I found.  I really need to go to bed but this stuff is too good.

From Eric Nahlin over at IT. His word is and always has been good.

Real quick, it's funny to watch the between-the-lines-interpretation around here. I swear I could start a sentence with 'you can lead a horse to water' and some would have that poor horse ending up on Mars.

Sometimes I have to hint and that's all there is to it. Sorry, but KM silence should have been taken as a great sign. Aggie fans actually laughed at me for deleting some ill-advised tweets. They should have wondered why I deleted them.

I have Kyler Murray as a coin flip now. I said something 'unforeseen' would be required to have a chance with Damarkus Lodge. That's landing Kyler. I have Lodge as a 45% chance to commit dependent on Murray.

The fun is just beginning. There should be another surprise in the next week or two.

Roller coaster's gonna roller coaster.

Of course they do, sheep get sick. ;)

Gotta agree, there are over 3 thousand retweets of KM original tweet, and God knows how many messages sent to the kid. The fact he hasn't come out by now to put water on the fire has to mean there is some weight to this visit.

Had my chips down all afternoon and evening. And I'm enjoying the positive posts....  the word is optimism

The thrill here is not so much Longhorn recruiting on the upswing, but the fun of people (recruits & familles) realizing Texas really is a superb opportunity. Seeing that unfold. ... making it ...100 ...Real!!

My baby girl went to A&M. It was a great fit for her. Texas did not offer what she wanted to study. She has been quite well employed in her field since she graduated in 1999.

Every kid has a place where they will fit.

Kyler Murray probably does not have the physical attributes for pro football, at least at quarterback, but he can be a helluva collge QB. His pro future is baseball in all likelihood.

What better place for him to play both that Texas?

Shannon Terry is known as the 22 Million Dollar Man. That's roughly what he got from selling out his partial ownership interest in Rivals when Yahoo came calling. Later he was one of the founders of 24/7, and I suspect he's now closer to being a 40 or 50 million dollar man.  He readily admits that he's not a recruiting guru (hasn't personally spoken to a recruit in more than 10 years).........but I suspect he "runs with the right crowd" that has a better than average source of info.

His CB of Murray to Texas is very interesting (I think).

Below is that link to an article for anyone that wants to know more about Shannon Terry.

I admit have spent far too much time lurking over here to keep up during work hours and more in the evenings the last couple of months... especially the last week or so.

You HS stalwarts deserve a medal for outstanding coverage of the Horns recruiting.  Many of you contribute valuable info, insight and up to date coverage while there is not a bunch of the false drama, rumors and needless BS like I have seen on some of the other recruiting boards in the past.

Keep up the good work and a hearty thank you to all of you, for your tireless coverage... this is a very exciting time for the Charlie Strong era.

LET'S RIDE!!!
