2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Back to Davante Davis for a moment.

Sheldrick Redwine who is a current Louisville commit but who is also due to visit us later, told Auburn247 that if he had to sign today, it would be to Auburn.  This might help us with regard to Davis and Auburn's class/schollie numbers.

I wrote this \/ earlier, trying to gauge what might happen with Davante Davis by looking at the Auburn CB situation.

One of the key factors was #1 JUCO CB Justin Martin

Martin has now canceled his trip to Auburn

Bagman running dry I guess

In any event, this might move Davis up a notch on their wishlist

This was Kyler Murray's dad's tweet back on Dec 19 (the day of Malik's commitment to Texas)

He took it down later

But was saved by some

Which thread do you think is the best thread?
Honestly I have been glued to this one for days!

I had given up on recruiting sites because of the drama. Thanks for running the site the way y'all do. It is VERY refreshing to talk UT recruiting and not deal with the crap.

I've said it before, but if I wanted to be called an idiot all day I would talk to my wife more. I sure as hell won't pay $10 a month for it.

Whether you're a skeptic or a believer, these are exciting times on the 40 acres. I'll say it again. However these next couple of weeks go, I believe in what CS is doing. I've probably refreshed the site a 100 times today trying to take everything in. I'm like a kid at Christmas. Regardless of how this all shakes out, the thing that excites me the most is the guys coming in seemingly have a fire inside them to take us back to the top. Exciting times are ahead on the 40.

To all of you contributing and sharing your love for the Horns, I say Thank You! The trip to South Bend can't come soon enough.

Cheers to finishing this recruiting class with a flurry! Hook'em and #LetsRide

I copied this from a free Longhorn site.  I wonder if there is any truth to a heated discussion.  If so, that has to hurt the Ags.

what an amazing turn of events. It's was always about getting him on campus. Even if there is limited interest, get them on campus. I wonder if the rumors of Papa Murray and Sumlin are true that there was a heated discussion between them on Monday and Dad didn't like.

odell, i'm with you. i'm too old and jaded to go ga-ga over any one recruit, but the momentum CS seemingly has (and in large part at the expense of agricultural and mechanical) is hard not to be pumped about.

I think what GBT is trying to say is, if Murray were to come to Texas, he'd have more negotiating power with an MLB team than if he were to go to A&M. It'd would take more money from an MLB team to pull him away from Texas. I think this is correct, but please if I'm not, someone correct me ... if Murray signs with Texas football on NSD, he'd be free to be drafted by an MLB club and play in the minors, but could not play for Longhorn baseball. If he chose to play Longhorn baseball, he would not be eligible for the MLB Draft for three years. I'm very confident that if a kid signs to play baseball with a D1, they are not draft eligible for three years. Not sure how all this would play into Murray's plans since he'd be a football schollie and not baseball. If he's a first-round MLB Draft pick, that would be hard to turn down that kind of coin just to play baseball at Texas. But going the football/pro baseball route is possible and that may be what they were meeting with Strong about today. Let's hope the Murrays see that the place that offers Kyler the most opportunity is ATX.

Per Orangebloods - Soso Jamabo is bringing the whole family with him to Texas this weekend.

Doubt he skips it like he did Aggy. Looks like it's down to Texas and UCLA and I have to believe Mom would rather he stay close. Here's hoping the excitement of today carries through to Newsomes announcement on Friday and then onto Soso's visit.

Ok after a lot of thought I can really see kyler coming here. I don't put a lot of weight into the legacy debate, any good dad wants what is best for their son and is going to try to pursuade their son in the right direction.

The fact that our baseball program is top notch, coach strong and Kevin Murray are friends, Malik is here, kyler knows he is a day one starter here, and he has the potential to be here with a bunch of other friends (hill, Boyd, malik, and MAYBE MACK)

I'm going to be bold here and put all my chips here on black and spin the roulette wheel, he is going to flip.

I'll say it again. Mahico is gold. He is legit.

However, this would not be the first time the two (papa and sumlin) have had words. I heard about another incident back in early December, right before you started hearing about Murray looking at Texas rumors.

perhaps you're right.

but i tend to think what GBT is trying to say is 'i can't believe my Aggies are going to lose the one guy they couldn't lose to t.u. and i'm going to make s**t up to rationalize it'

I think this indicates the seriousness of the situation. A friend I have says Soso is ours and will announce after his visit.

Anyone notice that Brossette brought 8 other family members with him?
I'm as big a fan of Warren as there is out there - but if we end up with Soso and Brossette, I ain't gonna be mad. Add those two to Kirk Johnson and you've got a hell of a RB class.
