A&M's subervience to the SEC and overall cowardice

Regardless of those that say they don't care about aggy you should.  They have outrecruited us the last few years and they are outrecruiting us now.  I love Texas, that's why I care.

They will never amount to a squirt of piss in the grand scheme of things but right now they are an annoying little tick that needs to be blowtorched.

I liked your post because I love the scond paragraph.

To say they are out recruiting us is to assume we would even want all their commitments ( we wouldn't.) it also assumes our recruits, which are Charlie a Strong type of "citizens" are note going to pan out to be as good and productive as their recruits. It also places more credence on the opinion of a bunch of guys that sit in their underwear in their parents basement eating Chocolat Banana Surprise Hagen Daz Ice Cream while viewing tape of high school football players over the opinion of the man of character we have entrusted our program to. I think a lot of those so called recruiting gurus fast forward those demo steps to the few seconds where the cheerleaders are in view. They then just look at the measurables of the player and make a ranking.

We've seen what winning every recruiting championship, only to not have the vast majority of those players pan out has gotten us.

Aggy used to take poorly ranked classes and say they put their trust in Slocum, Fran.... Whoever, and it didn't exactly work out for them. I however believe we have a coach that can pluck a few highly ranked stars and still fill the class with a roster full of fire breathing football players. Yes, I have enjoyed having recruiting scoreboard over our simple minded little brother but now I'm ready to win championships on the field, in the classroom and in society.

I love this quote

Oh dammit I love you guys but I still would want some of the agroid recruits.  I think it's the college stagnation thing that sends them downhill fast.

I said I do care. Yesterday. Around noon. Try and keep up.
Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear. I was referring to complaining about the member starting a thread about this subject matter. You have the right to do that, but it's something I don't do. It reminds me of Orangebloods.

If someone starts a thread on a subject that I feel has been over talked about, I ignore it. I'm not going to make the member who started the thread feel bad about starting a thread. If other members feel the same then the thread will drop and go to where threads go to die.

Also, your the one who linked this to the other threads on should we play the aggies or not. The member who started the thread didn't mention anything about that, he was just making jokes about the national embarrassment of this story on the aggies in a Monty Python type of way.

One thing I liked about your first post is that our aggie friend liked your post. Now, that I did enjoy. I'm sure he appreciates anyone especially a UT fan who tries to stop the talk of the aggie being chicken on playing a possible 6-6 Texas team. since it broke nationally.

i wasn't doing that. i was poking fun at the legions of posters on this board and others that always claim 'aggy doesn't matter'. yet there's thread after thread here and elsewhere chronicling their doings.

evidently i'm too subtle.

No problem and I can testify and you have a  good sense of humor.
