Wisdom from Urban Meyer

Herman never insinuated that the guys aren't "his".  What is Meyer talking about???

He's also talking about Muschamp when he took for Meyer at Florida. I agree with Meyer on the fairy dust comment by Herman. That statement placed all the blame on the players and nothing on the lousy job his coaches did on Saturday.

When Manny Diaz was fired Greg Robinson took over and it took him a couple of games but he did improve the defense. Todd Orlando had the whole off season to improve the defense and I didn't see much against Maryland.

I thought the fairy dust comment was more indicative of what he thought the fans think the coaching staff was capable of within the 1st 9 months of being on the job.  I just really didn't think he was placing blame on the players especially considering how much Herman preaches love...

It was a clever way of blaming the players and the previous coaching staff. I heard a college guy on ESPN on Tuesday and he said the Texas probably has the most talent on defense in the Big 12.

Same, felt the comment was more about protecting players from too lofty expectations than anything else. Anyways, stupid comment by Meyer

Guess I'll be an ou fan this week........................oh wait.............nothing good ever comes from an ou win.

We keep talking talent on defense.  I saw an article somewhere that UT has superior athletes but not football players.  Football players may not be the fastest or strongest athletes but they play unselfishly and do their assignments for the greater good of the team.  They know their jobs and react accordingly.  K-State players is the theme here.  Tough, smart, and good players but not super highly rated athletes.  Something to think about.

Atleast anthony cook when down there and watched ass kickin on Ohio st as well. Does that help us? Lol

Any enjoyment I have from Meyer losing is dampen by the fact that they lost to OU because OU sucks!

At the risk of pissing myself off, I have to look at this in a sort of positive for the Big 12. Beating OSU did a number of things for the conference and for ESPN pundits who had already crowned OSU as national champs. What was worse is that it happened at OSU's famed horseshoe.

I was getting pretty tired of hearing how the Big 12 just couldn't measure up. Now Texas needs to take care of bidness this week. If not a win, then give me a close game.

We'll beat the dog shit out of OU and make them like it. So for now, I'm okay with the OU win. lol
