Why Saban could come to Texas (hypothetical)

I have been thinking about all of the speculation about Saban possibly coming and while I suspect it is still an unlikely scenario, I wanted to mention some reasons he may indeed come. I think that if there is any truth to the BMD's passing the hat for a huge amount of money as a 'signing bonus' then it will be very hard for Saban to pass up. All of this is quite hypothetical of course, but consider the following:

1. $30,000,000 signing bonus

2. $1,000,000 extra per year

3. largest football budget in the nation

4. chance to win an MNC at 3 schools and go down as the undisputed best college coach in history (winning another one at Alabama would give him an argument, but winning another one at another school would put the discussion to bed)

5. his wife seems to want out of Tuscaloosa

6. Austin is just far more appealing to MOST (not all) people

7. The Longhorn Network is a unique opportunity (I guess this could be a liability depending upon the personality)

8. Texas has an insane recruiting base and UT is a step up as a school academically and in terms of national reputation (not limiting this to only football obviously because Alabama has a superb history that is hard to top).

$30 million signing bonus? Did I miss something.

I will add that he may just genuinely want change. A lot of people move simply because an opportunity comes up and they get excited about the prospect of something new. There have been psychology papers done expressing just this, that when presented with change or no change, most people will take it even if it's a slightly worse deal if it has a large upside.

Honestly though, if he comes I doubt it will be besides anything other than #4 or #5. Chance to be immortal and an unhappy wife cause people to do some interesting things.

There were rumblings our BMDs would make his bad business problems disappear if he comes. Something to the tune of 20-30 MM.

Passing the hat, BMDs trying to raise $10 mil, raised $30 mil instead.

Could someone pass the hat for me? I'm not greedy, I only need a million or two!
