Where did they go? Keeping up with the former staff.

Same. We're going to find out a lot about this team next year. My big question, which is probably better suited for a different thread, is how much time will Herman be given to succeed?
We already know the answer to this question: 2 years.Fired at the end of 3 if the program isn't producing and winning big.

The precedent has just been set.

If Herman isn't a miracle worker who can bank at least 25 wins in those three years he will be gone.

I think he can do it.

I think he can fail too.

It is the chance you take when you take a big job like this.

It appears Cincinnati is in fact interested in bringing in Coach Strong. He's among three candidates their eyeing to replace TT.

What's y'all guess on his OC?  I mean, does he bring back Watson or do Gilbert/Maddox follow him?  Now that Gilbert has a year experience calling plays, perhaps he goes with the man who gave him that opportunity and gain more experience...

If Strong is offerred the job and takes it I would think he will lose a pretty large amount of the $10 million that he would receive from us.  I would be surprised if he is Coaching in 2017 as I think he takes a year off.

Actually makes the most sense.  He could probably use the time off to recharge.  I can't imagine the stress that man went thru

Apparently, he wouldn't lose anything. There would be an offset in financial requirement. If Cincinnati paid him 3 million a year, we would be responsible for the other 7 mill.

Coaches have too much pride not to be coaching.

Me, not so much. I would enjoy some time off with $10M in my bank!

Strong made approximately $5M per year at UT, so we'd make up the difference.

You're absolutely right, thanks for the fix. Included "per year" before going back and changing the numbers to completed term (Texas).
