I think OB and IT have different agendas. I like both but IT can go on a limb with Saban rumors and make money to sell subscriptions now. OB is in a different place. I don't think they have much to gain on the rumors. Ketch seems to believe (valid or not) that rumors might hinder Saban from coming. He's on record saying Saban to Texas would make everyone in the biz (esp OB) lots of money. Since no one can really prove anything right now, both seem to lean the way that they believe will profit them most. I don't blame them for this, but I take it for what it is.

Each site has their own agenda, It is up to us as the consumers of information to decide where we want to pull our information or if we want to buy into "rumors". There is something for everybody and you just have to look where you want to find the information. Like Hornrush said, there is no need to attack one board or person here. everybody fits in their own way.

Hronrush Knight is not talking about this site he also has a site where they talk UT sports etc. But I do agree that the reason many are joing this site is that they are tired of all the personal attacks on other boards. Lets just enjoy what we have here and all act like adults.

Can you guys really see a scenario where anything leaked on a message board can derail something as big as Texas hiring a HC?

no. as an example look at saban's last move. it was leaked for weeks he'd leave the dolphins for bama. i'd bet the bama board was blowing up. he was directly asked about it numerous times and emphatically denied it. it was leaked, he lied and he still moved.
whatever happens won't have squat to do with message board chatter.

I approve this. I have long been a simple observer on Shaggy out of a desire to avoid trading foul juvenile barbs after posting a seemingly innocuous statement.

Most of us are aware that Orangebloods has taken a conservative approach to reporting updates on the hiring front of a new head coach while Inside Texas and The Ever Famous Big Cigar has offered all of us a bleeding edge blow by blow updates. I'm a big fan of Geoff, Chip, Jason and the whole OB crew. I also love reading post from Clendon Ross, Jesus shuttlesworth, Eric N & the rest of the staff on IT.

As a fan, we are lucky to have the resources both sites supply us.

One of the advantages about posting on Hornsports.com that I'm going to enjoy is flying under the radar. I won't have the Belmont Nazi's chasing my tail with the intention of discrediting the information shared. As Big Mike has said, this is a site for the fans to be fans. We are not beholding to Belmont in anyway. The only agenda we have is supplying our users with the most up to date information we receive.

Getting back to topic of Jesus Shuttlesworth being 'checked', I suppose that the Big Cigar has been outed in Belmont? That is not good news for any horn fan.
