You'll have to learn how to live with the hype year to year. Aggy has always hyped themselves, nothing has changed. They just had different things to hype. It was delusion then. Its delusion now. It will be delusion tomorrow.

When I think of this subject (Texas vs aggy), I think about it in terms of who really values this game. They do not. They left. They made no attempt to keep the game. They USED us as scapegoats for their greed. And they gave us a kick in the teeth on their way out the door.

If we ever play those clowns again, I would only be ok with it if we're in a situation like a bowl where we really have no choice. Under no circumstances do I want to go clamoring back to them to come back. They made their bed. Let them live in it.

Texas vs aggy helps aggy. I don't want to help aggy. We have OU has a true rival and its fun as hell kicking their tail in the Cotton Bowl.

Time is not a justification. Maybe they were just a bad habit the whole time.

It really doesn't matter to me what state our program is in when I say I DO NOT WANT TO HELP AGGY. The state of our program is on us – not because of a failure to play a team that barely stays relevant in a division of a conference.

The only "help" we ever get from them is the tickets we sell to the morons who follow that team. I'm not real proud about assembling that collection together in Austin.

I don't think fans are being pussies. It's not like aggy strikes fear in anything right now. We just have fans who have short memories, IMO.

Yesterday, ESPN (assuming its the same intern writers spoke of above) published its "best uniforms" article. Texas was nowhere in there.

Instead, it was Oregon (the walking billboards), Baylor, LSU, and Pitt was put on there simply because they reverted to their old logo. It was definitely a head-scratcher.

BTW, the SEC called. They are pretty ticked at ESPN. Six stories yesterday on the ESPN wire regarding Harbaugh. Only four for the SEC. At this point, ESPN is beyond inventing reasons to do stories on Harbaugh.

I'm sick of hearing about Harbaugh too. You gotta hand it to him though, from a PR standpoint, he's killing it and getting the pub that he is after for his program.

I don't even wanna consider aggy unless the SEC adopts a 9-game league schedule or the Big12 goes to an 8-game slate.

Even then, I'd rather we schedule the more traditional SEC bluebloods before aggy; LSU, Bama, UF, UGA, & TN. We also need to make sure aggy doesn't schedule their annual FCS cupcake the week before, too, if possible.

I agree, it has sucked and Texas shouldn't play on Thanksgiving anymore. Texas should play Tech or TCU or whoever on the Friday or Saturday after T-day.

Besides, it's not only that aggy left but HOW they left.

This is why I was disappointed to see UT play them in the college hoops "Atlantis" tourney and schedule them home & home in baseball. Why? We've got plenty of in-state competition for those games.
