What the hell?

The ole "no specifics" line

That is not the same thing as saying we havent talked to them about it

Based on the name of this thread, it seemed like an appropriate place to put this. "Boomer Sooner" is the dumbest fight song in college football. This is the same ESPN series that rated Baylor's new stadium as the best in the Big 12. Clearly ESPN has intern-level writers working on these articles. Sorry, but GTFO.

Big 12: Oklahoma

Few songs scream college football like Oklahoma's "Boomer Sooner." One of the most recognizable fight songs in the nation, Oklahoma's signature anthem was written by Arthur M. Alden in 1905 after he used the tune from Yale's "Boola, Boola" as a starting point. A year later, a line from North Carolina's "I'm Tarheel born" was added and the creation of "Boomer Sooner" was complete. Now it's unmistakable to any college football fan and the Big 12's best fight song.

Yesterday, ESPN (assuming its the same intern writers spoke of above) published its "best uniforms" article. Texas was nowhere in there.

Instead, it was Oregon (the walking billboards), Baylor, LSU, and Pitt was put on there simply because they reverted to their old logo. It was definitely a head-scratcher.

BTW, the SEC called. They are pretty ticked at ESPN. Six stories yesterday on the ESPN wire regarding Harbaugh. Only four for the SEC. At this point, ESPN is beyond inventing reasons to do stories on Harbaugh.

I agree with those of you who say Why! and WTF.

I don't read the Austin paper, turn on local TV or listen to 104.9 except during football season so I miss out on unimportant things from time to time. I do read this site, IT, Barking Carnival and BON and this is the first I've heard of this play aggy crap.

It is obvious UT playing sand ags and horny toads ain't gonna work for Turkey Day.

Aggy playing LSU only works for aggy every other year because LSU wants to fill their stadium for every home game.

I'm fine with the Horns playing a conference opponent on Friday after Turkey Day or that Saturday. Horns playing aggy on Turkey Day is history.  It doesn't work when aggy is at the bottom of the sec heap these days and the Horns will be humming in upcoming seasons.

So, unless TEXAS and aggy want to shoot for a early season game when fans care, I don't see any reason to ever schedule the don't let the door hit you in the ass  bastards again.

I want Texas to play Aggy. There is too much tension between fans in Texas. That game has to return. I can live with on the field results. I can't live with all this hype and bullshit about which team is better year to year. I like Texas continually proving we are the representative of this state
