Update

I'm sick of Mack and his BS. Regardless of what might or might not happen with Saban the fact that Mack thinks he should have any say in his return or replacement is beyond stupid. Every day this drags out I start disliking Mack more and more. If he returns next year I will be on a full out Mack bashing tour.

If you want Mack gone after today, I would think it's best to be an Oklahoma State and Baylor fan for the day.

I'm beginning to go from dislike to hate with Mack. Seems he is hell bent on making things difficult.

Here is take based on McPhaul's post

1) Mack is prepared to make things ugly and force the regime's hand to "fire" him, instead of "retire"

2) Saban would prefer Mack "retire" so it doesn't look like he's running Mack out of town.

Texas wins..... Goes either Cotton or Fiesta..... Mack Stays.... Gets one more year....

Texas loses Mack retires.... They form a committee .... Saban accepts (if he's not tired of circus)

If he doesn't come..... It's someone (big name) we have not heard much about....

Heard this from the horses mouth( my neighbors sisters friends cousin lives two doors down from the ex secretary at Belmont who happens to have a graduate degree from Bama and an undergrad in business from UT.....

Disagree can't put a square peg in a round whole .....

Aren't you curious?
I dont think everything is so black and white where if Saban stays all the news was BS. Im more curious why this extension that some claim has been signed for days has not been mentioned by any non Bama source. Was thinking Saban would mention something today, but nothing so far. Just doesnt make sense you sign something a day or two ago and you just sit on it with the Texas story flapping in the wind. Perhaps something comes out today

IT posted an update that if Texas is out of it with Saban the Texas people are not aware of this...ie no one has told them things are still not as in play as they were.

their source on the extension yesterday came from the Bama side

Strange deal. Perhaps Bama people are leaking out extension talk to put the pressure on...but it doesnt look like Saban has told anyone no

NO thanks. I'll cheer for the guys who chose to wear TEXAS on their jerseys and hope that Mack chooses to go out on top. That's more likely than him getting fire, IMO.

That tour will fill stadiums.

I DON'T believe he has signed anything.... But, I really don't know that for a FACT!!!!!! You would have thought someone would have sent out a press release if he Saban signed anything. Someone could also be playing IT!!!!!!!!!!! I guess we find out soon enough. RIGHT!!!!!!! But, I will still support TEXAS as I have always..

Not saying it's possible to pull for our opponent at all, but I think that in order for Mack to bow out, Baylor needs to win this game. All that said, it's not genetically possible for me to cheer against Texas. No matter the outcome, it will be bittersweet to me.

McPhaul sure sounds like MB is holding the Texas football program and the BMD hostage and he will make the call when he leaves. This is when the people who count needs to tell MB it time to stop this gameship you are pulling to bed. As along as MB stays there will be other kids jumping ship. I can't blame them they all want to know who there coach is going to be. My friends y'all have a great weekend

Well, the ESPN boys sure steered away from any direct questions with Saban. I'll bet that subject was off limits before he agreed to come on air.

are you here just to bash Mcpahul and all insiders? just curious. Would seem Orangebloods would fit that notion better
I am curious if the source is the same although the question should have been asked in a different manner (no need to be passive aggressive. We are all Horn fans). Would be a pretty big change in the sources thinking in a few days time.

If indeed Mac is back next year IMO this will fall right in Powers lap and he will have to take responsibility for it and be included in the bashing.

Thanks Dizz but, if this thing goes south I'm going to get bashed. I know that. I'm going to bash me too.

Greg, the answer to your question is no. Different guys. This update comes from the Oil & Gas Industry.

If it is up to Mack when he leaves, and he wants to go out on top, isn't itinerary our best interest as FANS for us to win the big 12 and the BCS bowl? Then he can walk away a hero.
