@tex09413171 is going off on twitter right now about how Mack is causing problems behind the scenes in case anyone is interested. Not sure if it's true, but seems to line up with other things people have posted recently about Mack.

McPhaul thoughts?

Here's the direct link to his twitter feed:

I've been watching and was going to ask if anyone here knew who he was.

here is everything he said

BREAKING:Toot my horn a bit.If you followed my Mack Brown TL u know I was giving details bfore media sniffed this story. Now there's major change again that you wont see anywhere else. Take it to the bank. With that here we go. Mack Brown was told in NYC a change had t be made due record, direction, loss of season ticket renewals and loss of Donor support. Mack Brown was given two options. The first that UT could buy out contract and release him, or he could resign and receive the buyout, salary thru 2020 and a title like DKR, Mack Brown chose the resignation route but asked to first complete recruiting trip, tell team and staff and do this in Austin.Mack Brown was given this privilege and was assured it would remain confidential. Mack Brown then traveled to FL fo recruiting and Patterson returned to austin. While in FL Mack Brown received word the story was out and was livid. Patterson assured him they would give him cover and call it

Mack Browns decision to make.Patterson did not want to be seen as Jerry Jones firing Tom Landry. Pres Powers joined in and everyone said decision was Mack Browns to make. Enter National Media and 24/7 coverage. Forced to continue the cover story and with his agent calling media reports false, over time the one thing happened that UT did not want. It lost control of the situation. Mack Brown came to realize that the cover story had now become FACT. He does control his own destiny and can make his own decision. Mack Brown wanted to discuss further. Patterson does not. Mack Brown was told the school did not want to miss any chance it might have with Saban and wants Mack Brown out per their agreement. Patterson sources say is STUCK. He does NOT want to FIRE the coach but if forced to retain him into 2014 he would FIRE Mack Brown at the first sign the team was not a National Championship Contender and only provide the contract buyout and NO more. Buyout is different as of Jan 1 2014 by the way. Bottom line due to unintentional GAFF, Mack Brown now DOES have the final decision. UNLESS, Powers is terminated by the Board of Regents today. If that happens, Mack Brown will be fired tomorrow if he doesn't resign as the Board wants him OUT. Clear as mud? Brown will be meeting with Patterson and I will have details on Mack Browns decision as I know more. I can tell you personal friends of Mack Brown are encouraging him to step down and he is still expected to do so at the football banquet tomorrow night. He simply wants to make one more attempt to sell them that Mack Brown can bring UT back to elite

Lol ok. Yes brown is giving them a hard time but he is stepping down. The money is too good for him not too

I find it highly unlikely that it's Macks' decision to step down or not. With everything being reported, he is done. Its how he chooses to go out, that will define the end of his Legacy here at UT.

if Saban is lined up... and we have a timeline. mack needs to get on board or be fired. period.

Mack will NOT be coaching Texas in 2014 regardless of what that guy says..

If you believe one word of that then I can't help you...SMH. The second Patterson was hired, Mack Brown was gone after the season. And Saban was coming.

Sounds like it's all smoke and mirrors still. Make it appear it is Mack's decision when it really isn't. Now, if for some reason he doesn't step aside, then all I can say is FUMB!

I've seen this Twitter referenced multiple times but I have no idea if this is someone to pay attention to our not. Honestly it appears to be an aggregate of the information on this site and IT as I haven't read something there that I haven't read elsewhere. Does anyone actually know anything about this cat?

Patterson firing Mack would not look like Jerry firing Landry at this point. Patterson would be a hero

he's not, all of his tweets are made up conjecture that anyone following the story could put together, no matter what happens, there's no way he can be seen as saying anything that is false.

At this point, I see no possible way Mack Brown returns in 2014. Furthermore, why would he want to?

who is this?
If anyone knows I'd love to know as well. Someone mentioned his twitter feed in a thread a few days ago (I apologize I don't remember who) and I've been following ever since. Saw he was going off a little while ago and wanted to share with everyone here.

Patterson needs to just man up and fire Mack. Mack is not Landry. DKR is Landry.
