To be fair, all the media was reporting Strong was to be fired. Not saying I discount it, but it could be a jump the gun thing to.It's picking up a ton of steam on all outlets... pretty hard to just dismiss it.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm kind of wanting Strong to get his 4th year IF THEY WIN TOMORROW. I know he hasn't lived up to our expectations, but I just feel 4 years for a culture change is realistic. That's just my opinion and I fully expect 99% of everyone here to disagree. I'm ok with that and I also wouldn't be heartbroken if the Horns went another direction from Strong either.
This is a great question.. with all of the love for Herman how much of an impact did that have on Charlie's hot seat?If Herman is a done deal at LSU, do we keep Strong?
Or all of the above.I'm onboard with your want, if he wins tomorrow. If they lose then those kids don't give a shit about Strong, or they just aren't that good, orrr Strong sucks as a coach.
I'm thinking the latter.Either this is premature reporting or our administration has given Herman an indication that we wouldn't hire him.
I totally agree with your logic. IMO, this is a good move by Herman's reps to put pressure on the Horns while securing a good backup in their back pocket. If the Horns decide to move on Herman then they have Friday evening and Saturday to make it known. This totally puts the pressure on Perrin, Fences, and McLaren to make a decision.I mean you guys let me know how this would make sense from Herman's perspective.
You're two days away from getting a call from Texas, allegedly your dream school, who can pay you as much as anyone in the country to take over an already immensely talented team. Knowing that, you agree in principle to coach another school without creating an opportunity for a bidding war between multiple schools? There is no logic there. Either this is premature reporting or our administration has given Herman an indication that we wouldn't hire him. You let me know which of those sounds more plausible.

Direct contradiction. So who knows what's actually real and what has, has not, or has yet to happenLSU: Sources on both sides of this deal confirm to FootballScoop that no deal is currently in place with Tom Herman. Texas reps are headed to meet with Tom Herman’s reps tonight. Houston plays Friday. This will play out quickly. Stay tuned…
Texas: Sources tell FootballScoop representatives of the University of Texas do not believe Tom Herman has agreed to become LSU’s next head coach and are on their way now to meet with his representatives. This is getting real…
