Tom Herman

Talked to my connected friend this evening. I now wish I had not. Didn't care for what he had to say.

He tells me there is a new hot name among the BMDs involved in a search for Charlie's replacement. That name is Les Miles. I almost threw the phone. I actually got mad at him. He's like whoooa there, I'm just relaying what I'm hearing.

Thats right, Les Miles is in the mix. All no-offense, riverboat gambler, can't develop a QB Les Miles.

Good news is . . . Hermann is still the top choice. That has not changed. Another name I heard mentioned, but not prominently, was Harsin.

FYI
Ugh...

Les Miles is an older, more experienced version of CFS. No, thanks.

Harsin intrigues me.... not sure why?  Maybe I liked the one year I saw of his offense; maybe I like his former boss who lives in Washington....

It might be more productive to pick this topic up next year at this time.... if we are 5-4 again.  We can also pick up the debate as to whether or not we are moving in the right direction.

What's interesting is that bar seems to keep moving for Strong. Most people thought he would be safe at 8-4...then it went down to 7-5 (which is still possible)...and now folks are saying he'll still be around at 6-6. I don't get it.

I've been saying for several weeks that he was back barring a losing record.

Ok. If Texas was playing Louisville tonite......are the Longhorns up 17 - 0?

If Herman were to end up here wouldn't be too difficult to convince Marvin to commit with how ed Oliver looks

If Jackson blows the Heisman and Foreman has two monster games and wins it, it's gets really interesting at Texas. If somehow Foreman ends up with the Heisman, ain't no way in Hell that Charlie gets let go.

Maybe I've been a little short sighted (that's not directed at Coach Strong) in my analysis of Tom Herman.
