This place is dead

I could not agree with you more SHA.

One of my early interests to this website were the comments from Juan. He has always kind of been an artist when it came to the angle of his posts. Instead of calling someone an idiot he would simply post a link or a picture that would remove any doubt.

I had been a lurker in the Zero Hedge comments section for a long time before daring to sign up and sign in. My favorite poster there was Juan Grande. You think this place gets weird? Try it over there sometime.

This place is worse without him.

What is zero hedge?

Off-season can be a little rough on the boards across the board. I also would lying if I said replacing Mike has been easy.

We will have Burnt Ends out this evening though, so there is some good news. And spring football is kicking off, so that will generate some discussion as well.

It's the offseason in football, and hoops left a bad taste in the mouth of many. Baseball is just getting ramped up.

I'd absolutely love to see some more off-topic discussion on this board to facilitate dialogue and posts. BBQ, restaurants, tire recs for trucks, who's hot/who's not, etc.
I'm hot, you're not. So there.
Yeah, this is the dead zone. Baseball just starting with MLB a month away. March Madness? No Texas. NBA? Playoffs six weeks out. Spring football? Usually a yawner for me. NFL Draft? Late April.

But I AM concerned somebody is listening to my phone calls. Not sure if it's the Russians or Obama. Thoughts?

What about a discussion whether or not to redshirt Ehlinger? Or a Buechele vs. Ehlinger discussion?

If Ehlinger wins the starting job, great. Play him. If he doesn't, do all you can to RS him.
But aren't you tired of UT continuously starting freshman? I think Texas needs for Buechele to win the starting job and allow Ehlinger to redshirt, gain some separation and recruit accordingly. And I am not a fan of burning his shirt just to let him play some trash time minutes against SJ State and gain "experience". I guess I'm saying unless Shane gets hurt, there is no reason for Sam to play.

I want Buechele to win the job if he's clearly better. If Ehlinger is clearly better, play him.
But yeah, history (Major, VY, Colt) indicates a RS is beneficial.

Ehlinger isn't red shirting. I'm actually in the process of writing a post on storylines to watch this spring.

I guess I just don't understand why you would burn a freshman's redshirt unless you expected him to contribute significantly during the season. And If Buechele stays healthy and plays as well as last season, is there any reason for it? To me mop up duty would be wasting Ehlinger's redshirt just like Mack did with Swoopes. If you need someone to take snaps to get to 0:00 I don't see why Merrick wouldn't be the guy. If the game isn't in doubt, all he has to do is hand off the ball.

I assume you are joking but if you are not it is a news website that generates editorial pieces and some linked stories on political and financial issues du jour. I don't particularly agree with the sites points of view but the member comments are insane. You wanna talk about different points of view? That place is nuts.

In fact, the reason for my avatar is not because I look like Brad Pitt (well I do if you gave him about 60 lbs, took most of his hair away, shrunk him by a few inches and made him older and uglier) but because ZeroHedge uses a quote from Fight Club as an unofficial motto. It was a nod of the cap to Juan which, of course, he never realized.

Alas, Juan broke the first rule of HornSports Club, You don't post articles from other wanna be pay sites on this wanna be pay site because everybody would realize what they already do, everybody copy and pastes the premium stuff in either their e-mail and/or texts and sends it to everybody else.

On a long enough time line the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Yes, I know that zero hedge. I was just trying to make the sports connection in my mind. My bad. I've seen the comments, man, what a clusterfart.

I like your self-description where you're pretty much a spittin' image of Brad Pitt. I feel better about my Tom Selleck look alike problem now. He's looking old these days.

Red rover, red rover, let Juan Grande come over. lol

I guess that would make you Marknum P.I.

I'm with you. I would redshirt Ehlinger considering he is a true freshman and he had several injuries last year. The QB room is lacking bodies to help with this unfortunately.

Does juan exist on any UT boards anywere. I miss trading shit memes with him
