THE Texas "D" and Rice

Crap, Manny Diaz is good. Just listening to him talk makes me think this defense is going to punish this year. They will need to stick that running game Rice is going to throw at us. The MAC attack - McHargue and McGuffie can run the ball. No match for Texas but I know we can all remember the days when we had to squeak it out in the last few minutes to beat the Owls.

Diaz is the real deal but the safeties and corners still have work to do. The defense should be decent this year, not stellar.

I guess for the first time in a long time, I have not a clue what to expect on either side of the ball? With all the secrecy, how can anyone know anything?

Add to that the QB situation and I guess we wait for Rice and beyond..Hook Em Hornsl!

I would like to plan my Rice watching party but I can't b/c I do not know if the LHN will be picked up by my cable provider. What in the heck is going on? 3 days until the launch and no word? A bit ghetto if ya ask me. I guess they are waiting to unveil the carriers on campus at the GameDay event?

Rice beat us in '94. Not a good feeling losing to THE WHO. Hookem.
