MEOW!

...something is indeed very wrong here.

I for one, can never ever recall feeling so very conflicted during any Longhorns gridiron season. Just like so many of the Longhorn faithful... I want Mack Brown to depart Bellmont Hall, as of yesterday. But in the same context... I want his football team, to win as many football games as possible. Are we all going crazy? How can we honestly "justify" this remarkable behavior?

If there is such a thing as a disease called "self betrayal", then I can assure you, that I am completely symptomatic.

The hard fought battle (concluding in overtime) between our Longhorns vs Mountaineers, shall indeed be a battle for the ages. At the end of the game, I was overjoyed, jubilant, feeling the burnt orange spirit. But as soon as the on field commentator started to interview Mack brown as he was departing the field... all I could visualize was the scoreboards of (BYU vs OLE MISS).

...is this season over yet...

One commentator was kissing the sorry behind of Basket Case McCoy throughout the broadcast. Every time he did that I'd say to myself "this guy is either a mental retard or paid hypster."

I believe clueless BS'ers like that guy are partly to blame for the misinformed fans, many of whom don't really understand football and would take commentators' lame hype and misinformation at face value.

Case McCoy, Major Applewhite and Mack Brown were all as pathetic and incompetent as their usual self last night.

I don't think Case McCoy is a good College Football QB. Having said that, it's a little disrespectful - and maybe you're okay with that - to say that about him after the rabbits he's pulled out of hats this year. Sure, it's ugly as hell but the guy leaves it all out there on the field. Futhermore, that last pass to Shipley over the shoulder was absolutely gorgeous.

Case should probably have never been an option at quarterback for our program but seeing as how we're a giant cluster F anyway, I at least like watching someone with some fire.

I feel almost the same about Applewhite. He called an okay game and one that got us a W. With the aforementioned not-quite-talented-enough-for-college-football, Case McCoy and a backup RB he goes on the road and calls a game thay yeilds 47 points 435 yards of offense. Major simply doesn't have alot to work with with our QB and horrid OL.

We are very likely going to get our asses kicked in the coming weeks. Blowout losses. I know the blame will once again fall on the shoulders of these guys but in my mind the only person to blame is Mack Brown.

Definitely want the kids to win and do well, but equally conflicted about anything that helps Mack stay around past this season.

Oklahoma St and Baylor will take care of that. No need to worry.
