ESPN’s list of top 2013 high school prospects, the ESPN 150, has been released and 7 of 13 Longhorn commitments made the list. Sealy High School wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones led the ‘Horn commits checking in at #7, followed by Texas QB commit Tyrone Swoopes who landed at #9. Rounding out the Top 20 was center and Harker Heights product Darius James, who placed at #19 on the list. Other Texas commits making the list included Celina’s Jake Raulerson (#78), Lake Highlands High School’s Kent Perkins (#87), Cy Falls High School’s Jacorey Warrick and Arlington Heights High School’s A’Shawn Robinson (#133).

#1 on the list as you might expect is Loganville, Georgia product Robert Nkemdiche.

There is more hype behind this list than concrete analysis. Never been a big fan of these sort of rankings because there are so many variables that are not included. This is raw talent and does not take into account specific team needs and impact players have once they enter into a specific system.

Any news on Torrodney Prevot or Vincent Taylor?
Prevot has a ton of schools on his list and he will probably wait until late 2012 to announce/commit. Recent comments form Prevot indicated that LSU, Texas and Texas A&M are his top 3 schools. Taylor needs to act quick if he wants to play at Texas. He missed his first two visits.

Read Prevot's twitter account and tell me if he is Texas caliber. I think not. He needs to grow up.

Adding prevot to our defense would be awesome. Daeshon Hall is a weakside DE as well and a Prevot commit would give us tons of flexibility. Come on down, "The Hype."

I am hearing that Daeshon Hall might be falling out of favor with Texas coaches. I am trying to confirm that.

Prevot's in Aggyland this weekend. Might need to be deloused if he chooses Texas.

I'm telling you Prevot is a Prima Donna. His head ain't Longhorn worthy. Hundred bones he commits to aggy.
