What do y'all think of our current Thanksgiving Game arrangement?  Do y'all like rotating Tech and TCU at home every year?  IMO, it makes UT look really selfish.  The Big 12 PR department says it wants to "Showcase the Big 12's highest-profile team and premier venue", but.....meh.

In a perfect world, I'd love to see us sign a home & home with Notre Dame.  Can you visualize the greatness of seeing the Longhorns' "Stormtroopers" playing at South Bend in the snow?  Must see TV!

Barring that, if I had to pick a Big 12 opponent, I'd choose Tech.  In time, the sand-aggies will prove to be a more than adequate substitute for the ag adjunct.  Their fans are even crazier, but in a good way.  We'd help them raise their profile nationally, too.

Playing on t/giving has outliived it's usefulness.

There was nearly a century of tradition tied into playing the ags on TG. That's over. There's ZERO tradition or buzz playing tcu or tech.

Furthermore, TG has become an NFL day now since they've added a primetime game. The ratings for our recent TG games must be microscopic.

Time marches on. Scrap playing on Thanksgiving.

Good point.

Going head to head with the NFL's three games is probably futile.  Better to give it up altogether?  IDK...

We could make a go at LSU

That would cause fits in BCS
LSU has already scheduled home & homes with A&M.  I doubt the SEC would sign off on that.  The Bayou Bengals probably wouldn't want UT that late in the season either.  #CoonassForADay
