I was really convinced the naysayers arguing that Mack would drive Saban away were nuts... but if reports of him agreeing TONIGHT to the seven million dollar a year extension that's been sitting on his desk for a week are accurate, then it makes perfect sense that he was waiting for Mack's leaving to be official before deciding one way or another. If Mack IS gone, and I suspect he is, AND Saban has re-upped with Bama, then NOW WHAT?!

If he actually had any influence in the program, we wouldn't be the laughing stock we are today. If he did have any influence, he is responsible for for there the program is.
