It was definitely under thrown. That was all on Sam.Am I the only one who thought Sam's pick was an underthrown ball? I didn't think he threw into triple coverage but didn't get as much distance as he wanted.... receiver had beaten everyone and had to wait up.
Worried me a little cause of the rib injury. I don't know how far he can throw or if he just waited too long on the throw
i will assume we are laughing at the sad girl as well as the wvu tube top chic correct?
6am is easy. Come to Australia it's a 3am Kickoff. So, I just moved to Hawaii and next weeks game is on at 6am for me. It was already difficult watching today at 9:30am. 6 is going to be tough.
1. The officiating was terrible. Not biased, but terrible. Sometimes I think the Big 12 should be called the Embarrassing 10Three things noteworthy about this game.
1.This refereeing crew was flirting with the notorious 2015 crew in the first quarter.
2. Coburn and Adeoye had good games tonight.
3. This team got punched in the mouth and kept it's composure on the road.
Thanks. I see......"Dicker the Sticker".They reviewed a play concerning targeting by Dicker.
Well if we take jersey numbers out and just look at play on the field, 2 is a better RB and pass blocker. 28 is better based on his 3-4 carries also. 26 should not be starting or getting most of the carriesIngram needs to get it together or our 3rd stringer QB is going to be our 1st string RB.
Really bad throw, bad read also. RB in flat was wide with 15 yards in front and Devin was on a corner route behind CB(harder throw but better than what he did that play). That’s his worst play of 2019 seasonAm I the only one who thought Sam's pick was an underthrown ball? I noticed those 2 guys wide open too. Today wasn't Sam's best day yet he still did a good job on the road and picked up the W.Really bad throw, bad read also. I heard on espn that ou had 13 receivers catch balls.Front 3/4 can’t get pressure. DBs other the Jamison can’t play the ball in air. Ou will throw for a ton of yards an their WR will laugh as the run down the field. Pass D is not bad, it’s horrendous. I want to throw against our DBs. We don’t run complex schemes and don’t confuse QBs. It’s just easy.
If we hold ou to 45 that’s a win. Osu win looks avg now bc they got beat easily by TT. WV isn’t a good team and we let them hang. I don’t see a killer instinct. We lose to Ou. 10-2 regular season. We arnt a playoff team that I saw vs LSU. Yes we are hurt but we need to be killer, confidence isn’t there.
RoJo is 10x better than Keaontay. KI is a below avg RB right now. Kirk Johnson and RoJo need most of the carries next week, other than 11.
Disappoint in our play. ST is scared after the fumbles vs OKSt, they won’t even field a puny much less return one.
In 2019, we are not DBU, embarrassing to call us that. Our DBs play with no confidence(other then 5), no swag. Watson, true Fr, comes in and u can see he is scared, hesitant. LSU Fr DBs come in like , bitch how dare u line up in front of me. Boyce should get the ball thrown at his WR 15 times next Saturday morning.
We should move the ball effectively vs Ou. 11 personnel is kinda useless bc TEs aren’t really doing anytime. If u like him right fine, TE 10 yards from the OT isn’t doing anything in run or pass. Go 10 or 20 personnel more. DD bails is out a ton. 3rd down conversion rate better be in the >60% range. We will need to get to Hurts and make him throw on the move , bc he will make mistakes that way. I just don’t have any confidence we can get stops on 3 out of 10 possessions. Riley will have WRa cross the field like LSU/OkSt did.
A. If they are a different set of plays then run the correct plays. And I don’t think they are different plays. KI just isn’t running behind what holes are available as well as RJ. Not complex. RJ also finishes runs better. Don’t care who start but as of 5 games, RJ deserves 2:1 carries over KI. I want to see some Kirk, 2/3 runs were pretty good. And I’m hesitant after last year but at goal line, short yardage, Young is the most physical and biggest back. Wish we played him more vs OkSt&WV.Johnson being 10x the better back is crazy. Good? Yes. There’s a reason Ingram starts though. If you watched the game you’d notice there’s a different set of plays ran when the different backs are in. Evidently the WVU DC knee this too as their DL slanted the gaps on the pull and got the RB (Ingram) in the backfield. Johnson gets to get a full head of steam behind drive blocks. Ingram is asked to use his patience and let the blocks develop for those plays. Their DL evidently was schooled on what to look for when I gram was in the game. To me that is on our playcalling. Teams have already picked up on the 3rd and short route combos as well. That’s why DD hasn’t been as effective on the short stuff on third and short.
The defensive ive backs aren’t pathetic. The lack of pressure by a 3 man front makes them cover longer than necessary. Any defensive backfield would struggle in that setup. Earlier Orlando was blitzing like crazy and leaving the middle wide open. Are we DBU? Heck no, but we’re closer to good than we are to sucking as some would believe. The one thing our dbs need to fix is looking for the ball to make a play. They’re typically in good position, just lack ball awareness. I think our scheme needs fixed before we blame talent.
Our issues as a whole are fixable. They’re coaching issues if you ask me. Also, Aside from a few trick plays here and there the offensive playcalling has been vanilla and to our strengths. Texas is using their talent advantage and strength to beat teams they should beat. I believe you’ll see stuff you haven’t seen come Saturday. I bet you see two back sets with misdirection. Look for Whittington to get some action
A. What do you mean? Run the correct plays? Ingram was getting the counter, trap and pull blocks. The wVU DL was shooting the gaps on it when they saw it. Johnson does finish well. Both are good backs and I’m proud to have both. Neither need 2:1 carries, the playcalling just needs to mix up the plays/personnel. If people watching on TV know what running play is next don’t you think a college DC can figure it out.A. If they are a different set of plays then run the correct plays. B. DBs and LBs are likely top 3 the big 12 in missed tackles. We have had >14 missed tackles in all but 1 game I think and getting over 20 in 2 games. That happens Saturday and we lose. Boyce can’t cover a WR. Watson in limited action showed he needs a redshirt. Many times we play the ball really bad in the air, CBs and Safeties. Agree we aren’t aware, I think that player and teaching issue not scheme. OU D is horrible and we better score often. Tampa 2 won’t work u less we pressure Jalen with front 3/4. I don’t think we have played good enough to make playoffs and that’s the goal. DBs don’t play we “swag”
C. We better see new stuff. 10,20,21 personnel. Lining up TE 8 yards away from OT and running a route does nothing. Need Smith, Duv, Eagles, CJ at same time. Sam will carry it more also, no doubt. Maybe RoJo at QB with KI and Dev in the backfield, for 1 play. Sam needs ball in his hands often.
A. U said they run different plays for KI them RoJo, so I am saying they need to run the plays that best suits them. Nothing is suiting KI in 2019, he is an avg back so far, not a way u can dispute that. Proud to have both also but doesn’t mean at this point KI deserves more carries than RoJo. Yes, if btw them we run 12 times, RoJo should get 8:4 for KI, 2:1 ratio.A. What do you mean? Run the correct plays? Ingram was getting the counter, trap and pull blocks. B. Missed tackles are killing this defense. But so is the lack of pass rush and inability of some to play the ball.
C. No way do you take the snap from Sam. Every play on offense should run through him. Two back sets would be a nice change to see. CJ9 on the field would take a safety out of the middle of the field. A few 5 wide sets would be a tip of the scale in Texas favor, as long as it doesn’t include the RB’s. If young enters the game, it needs to be as a blocking back
I have seen nothing from either one that tells me KI or RJ will ever be a great running back. At this point, they are both average running backs that have the potential to be above average at best.A. They do run the plays that best suit them, but the defense caught onto it Saturday. Watching Texas football overdrive I noticed Johnson got the counter play a couple times early and he lost yards too. Seems like the wvu DL was well coached for when they saw the pull. They blew it up almost everytime.A. U said they run different plays for KI them RoJo, so I am saying they need to run the plays that best suits them.
