*****Texas vs. UTEP Game Thread*****

I read somewhere that Conner Williams, Kent Perkins and Tristan Nicholson are not playing tonight.  the projected lineup (L to R) is Rodriguez, Vahe, Shack, Anderson, Hodges.  I'm curious if Okafor, Hudson and Delance will get in tonight.  Anybody else have any input on this?  Also, Dylan Haines is reportedly out, but I'm not sure who will take his place.  Vaccaro was in a lot against ND, but I'm hoping Jones gets a lot of time tonight.

Also, the clock above says we still have 1 day 8 hours until gametime?  Did I wake up on Friday again?  Am I Bill Murray in Groundhog Day?

I have a feeling we are going to see a lot of the young guys tonight. It think it will be more interesting to see who doesn't get it. That should give us an idea who is likely to redshirt this year. Better have an up-to-date roster with correct jersey numbers!

I'm hoping a lot of young guys get in tonight. That means things are going well.

Glad it's game day!

A few interesting factors at play today.

1 - How does the team deal with success and positive attention.

2- How well do they start and perform in a game that they should win easily.

3 - What young guys play, when they play, how much they play and who earns time for more meaningful games.

4 - Get the W, come out healthy and ready for the next 3.

Hook 'em

One person I'm interesting in seeing if he gets PT is Kai Locksley at WR. think he has serious NFL potential there but our depth chart is stacked there.

Why would you think he had serious NFL potential? Hasn't played yet and just moving from QB. Have you been at practice?

Tell you what, watching close games Cent Mich Vs. Oklahoma St and Georgia Vs. Nichols, Texas better not look passed UTEP. Bury them early, keep your foot on the gas, get time for the young pups, get out healthy

Especially after seeing what the polls did to teams that struggled with cupcakes.

Wow, Kansas is getting destroyed by an Ohio team that lost to Texas State. Man they suck. 1st Qtr stats, Ohio 200+ yards, Kansas 4

Oklahoma State just lost to Central Michigan, 30-27, on a last play pass with 00 on the clock. QB passed complete to a WR, who lateraled as he was going down to another player who ran it in. Unbelieveable finish.

And this was at Boon Pickens.

Wow, I turned the channel after the last pass by Mason. I thought time went off the clock. Wow!!!!

And SMU off to a 6-0 start against bailer. UT better be taking UTEP seriously until they don't have to.

With 9th ranked Georgia barely hanging on against Nicholls State, Texas may have a chance to move into the top 10 in the AP poll with a decent game against UTEP.
