Texas vs ULM Game Thread

I just read that Blue and Wisner are game time decisions. Who handles the RB position? Gibson, Gardner and Niblett? Arch might have 40 pass attempts this week.

Possibly. If Blue and Wisner are out I suspect Arch will get a few RPO options. Maybe some zone read.

Short passes out wide as an extension of the run game. Heavy dose of Gibson either way I'd bet.

From what I have heard and read tonight, Texas needs to load the box and force ULM to throw the ball. Their OL is good for a G5 team, but they are one of the worst teams in passing attempts.

I was just writing about this on the predictions thread. I agree.

I'd rather not see Arch do much running. If he gets hurt, we're down to a freshman and two walk ons.

Arch is going to sling it. Let the other RBs rest and ride Gibson without tiring him out.

No way we let Arch do much running.

Get the WRs and TEs more and more reps.

They have been effective in their first 2 games, 40 pressures and 6 sacks but have not faced anything close to our O-line so far. We have some huge guys who are athletic enough to keep up with these little guys.

Sounds like their strengths are their front seven and their OL and RB's. Booty shouldn't worry our DB's in the least. Texas should bring a safety towards the box and make Booty throw the ball.

I agree!! Send pretty much everybody but the waterboy on both run and pass blitzes. Lets give them a little shock and awe!

Really would like to see some more defensive scores for the Horns. Also like to see Moore et. al. tee off on their qb.

Manning should get a lot of time in this one, regardless of the score I bet we see him well into the 3rd quarter. Owens gets a quarter. Potentially Sark gets some snaps for Cole Lourd (or Joe Tatum) the last series or 2. Not a long term gain from getting either of those 2 in there but as a reward for the hard work they are also putting in.
