The Texas Longhorns head West on Saturday to face Big 12 foe Texas Tech in Lubbock. While neither team is in position for a spot in the College Football Playoffs, both teams have plenty to play for. Under second year head coach Tom Herman, Texas is looking for progress.  A win today would surpass Herman's season-one win total, setting the Longhorns up for their best season in five years. For Texas Tech and Kliff Kingsbury, a win means bowl eligibility and a chance at a winning season - something the Red Raiders haven't had since 2015.

Texas lost its last two games to Oklahoma State and West Virginia, while Texas Tech is also on a two-game skid. The Red Raiders lost to ranked Iowa State and Oklahoma teams in consecutive weeks. Both teams are in need of a win to turn things around and finish the season strong.

This is the proverbial “must win” from a program building perspective.  Must have games like this.... very similar circumstances to the OSU debacle.  Let’s see if there’s improvement.

Over / Under of plays before I complain about PJ.

I'm setting It at 3.5

Ill take the under.

While we are waiting for kickoff, Id like to point out that Herm Edwards and Arizona State are bowl eligible. I still dont know exactly what Herm does as head coach, but cool beans for him.....

Meanwhile in Norman, Gundy goes for 2 instead of taking his offense to overtime and loses. Mobilehoma survives.

Lets hope we are not in that spot today and just kick arse

Wow, can they get one stop on the opening drive against any team down the stretch?  Now that QB has confidence.  Here we go again.

Why do we defer the kick instead of taking the ball.  I hate spotting them 7 points each game
