Actually staying home to watch this game and letting my kids have my tickets so they can go together.

I hope the Horns win and then go hire Herman. While I think Strong is a good man, I can't get over that we lost to Kansas.

I hope we crap on Patterson's Horned Frogs.  He has destroyed us the last 2 years.

ITS PAYBACK TIME!!!

If the Horns win today, which I expect them to, why didn't they win last week at Ks? Motivation seems to be fleeting with this squad.

I expect us to:

1.  Win today

2.  Fire the worst coach in Texas History

3.  Hire Herman

4.  Give hope to fans

LOL Memphis already scored against Houston....42 seconds into the game.

14-3 Memphis

Has to make you wonder if Herman is overrated.

Ok this is where I have a problem. I am good with Charlie getting fired, should have happened last weekend. I like Herman and he may well be the answer, however, why is THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS hanging their hopes 100% on a yet unproven commodity? Can they not look around and get someone with some skins on the wall? I like Herman, I don't love Herman. Not yet... I just don't want to be here in another 3 years in the same damn situation.

This is why Charlie should have been fired and Texas would have been able to get feelers out and conduct a descent search. Instead everone is jumping on planes trying to outbid each other for the potential messiah. Hopefully everone is right about TH.

I think in both Charlie Strong'a case AND in Tom Herman's case - the decision about their fate should not simply rest on this one final game before the end of the year when a decision needs to be made. I mean for us - it's ridiculous that after 3 years of observing and evaluating Charlie that we are only basing firing or keeping based on the outcome of one game against TCU. Same for Herman against Memphis. The whole body of work for both should have already been evaluated and should not be dependent or fluctuate so greatly based off 1 game when you have a larger sample size. Am I right?

I agree 100%.

I see a lot of similarities in this UH team to current Texas team.  Wide open receivers and busted assignments.  its 21-10 Memphis right now.  It scares me.

Herman could be another home run Utah Urban Meyer hire or another Strong bust.

We have to get this next hire right.

Boise State Urban Meyer? You referring to Utah?

Y'all need to quit reacting to every game (every quarter!) and changing your mind based on that. This defense was amazing last week against Louisville. Clearly, some of them are upset about Herman leaving. Herman still has led them to a 9-2 record and beat Oklahoma and Louisville. If one game changes your mind, then you are just as crazy as the Keep Charlie crowd.

Herman may very well be the best thing out there.  I've said all along why is he the only one being looked at?

In looking at the body of work as we should, the one potentially concerning item is that the 2 losses and this challenging Memphis game have all come on the road.  Now the Coogs may very well win this game today, but if you look at their season you have to look closer at road performance.

Does Herman have a challenge in preparing for road games?  Don't know but it bears examining before we go all in on him.
