SignUp Now!I'm actually impressed with what we did with the bats. We created a lot of scoring opportunities against a very good pitching staff.I know people will look at the box score and see all those K's and fear the worst. 2 things to keep in mind:
1. It takes a few games to get timing down at the plate. BP and intersquads will only get you so far. This is compounded by quality Rice pitching.
2. Almost every K was swinging. That's a real positive from a plate approach/mentality standpoint. It also goes back to point #1...that aggressive approach will pay dividends when timing is improved.
I love winning. It's like, better than losin'.baseball is funny. long season, but doesn't 1-0 feel so much better than 0-1?
Per Aaron, Rice had 60% of the stadium.how was the crowd at Reckling tonight? usually a solid rep of Orange in the house.
No. I sat down in front of the TV & laptop and had my own early season hiccup by not grabbing a cold beer to have at my side. I should probably have to run poles or something for that. I could see it out of a rook, but I'm supposed to be a seasoned veteran.Don't fool yourselves, Jeff has had a few. Great work bud!

I'll do better with my Press Box prep tomorrow. Plus, it's Saturday, so my lovely waitress, (mrs joeywa) will be here. Maybe she'll grab me a beer when it's needed? Probably not, but a guy can dream, right?![]()
If that's the reaction I get, then I did my job. Thanks Bear!Joey
Late to the party but reading the thread I feel like I was there. Great job. Will try to be here tomorrow.
