IMO  Royal was a great coach and Akers was very good. And there hasent been anyone close since.

Maybe Herman can improve and turn it around.

IMO yes. To me Brown did less with more than any coach i can think of.

Mack won 76% of his games at UT while Akers won 73%. However, the 2006 NC gives the edge to Mack.

I do agree Mack under performed compared to Stoops.

Mack had a few more years to win NC. Akers would have one except for punt returner. Then ifs abd buts and Christmas. All in the past with pleasent and unpleasent memories.

Doubt if I ever see Texas win anouther N C  then another Young might over  come the coaching.

Wasnt a shitshow?  We had 2 weeks to prepare for KState and barely won at home with a last second field goal.  Then they lose to Iowa State the following week so there is your shitshow.
