This team will go down in history with the worst record in 121 years of Longhorn baseball. They are losing 8-5 in the bottom of the 7th to a 13-18 (2-6) Jayhawks team.  I've been following Longhorn baseball since the Bibb Falk Era and I've never seen such poor overall play.  It's just plain sad.

Recap:

Game 1-After taking an early 3-0 lead over KU, the Horns allowed the Jayhawks to plate four over a couple of innings to take a 4-3 lead. Texas immediately answered back with 2 runs to go up 5-3. Then the wheels not only came off, they flew off in spectacular fashion. Texas gave up 7 unanswered and dropped game 1 11-5.

Game 2-Texas again came out hot, scoring 4 in the first, adding 1 run in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th innings to build a commanding 7-0 lead. KU fought back and scored 2 in the 6th and 4 in the 9th to make it closer, but Texas got an 8-6 win. I wasn't able to follow or watch Game 2, so I can't really tell y'all what transpired late in the game, but if I had to bet, I'd say there were fielding errors and pitching mistakes late in this one.

Game three is later today.

I caught the last 2 innings. In the 9th it was walks and Kansas just hitting the ball, no errors.
