Texas Longhorns Fall Camp 2026

LG Seymore hasn't practiced this week. Today, he was out in shoulder pads and helmet only. Sark said it wasn't a long term injury.

Read a post that Ty’Anthony lost some weight after a brief illness, hopefully whatever the reason he is leaving is due to finding a better opportunity and not bc he has a serious illness, prayers for the young man

Pretty similar to what we’ve seen and heard. Manning’s footwork still causes some inaccuracies, hopefully that keeps getting better. If it does he will be the #1 pick. All the weaknesses he listed on his report are known things we’ve seen.

Eric Henry from Horns247 was "told per source that Steve Sarkisian has addressed the team and said that 'he dismissed [Ty'Anthony] and had to do what's best for the entire team. "

I don't want to get into his business, but it's also team business too. Still, my bigger concern is whats the plan without Smith? Darius Snow? Okpala? Cummings? Atkinson?

Snow is the only veteran left. Looking like a really good move in the portal now.

Don't they also have Johnathan Cunningham and the kid from Akron, Boswell at LB? I don't think either are game breakers, but they have some experience. Also, I think Spence can play at an outside LB spot if needed.

Sucks to see Smith go, but it sounded like Cryer was hungry, came in on a mission and went out and took a spot. Good on him and that is the way it's supposed to be.

Texas has 3 young guys in Cummings, Okpala, and Atkinson for LB, but they will need quality depth for next year. This year I think they have some options.

After two years, Cunningham is still light in the britches. They moved him to safety in the spring. He is buried on the depth chart there.

It says something that they did this even when we were low on LB numbers to begin with.

Sark's full statement on the dismissal

"He was dismissed. Conduct detrimental to the team, and that's just what it is. I didn't like it. It's an unfortunate situation for him individually. Again, I hate that. For us as a team, I hate that. He's a quality player, but I have to think about the team first."

According to 247 today, Smith got info a couple of "dust-,ups" with Colin Simmons this week during practice.
