Is he back?

Liberty-Eylau’s Lagaryonn Carson has been suspended for undisclosed reasons for the past month. He has not played or suited up since then.

However, this week, he tweeted out the above tweet. Curious, no? Is he really back?

Final Week is Here! Playoffs are Next!

Welcome to the final week of the regular season in Texas High School Football. Next week, the playoffs begin. Here are some notes of interest as we head into the final week’s games.

– Keller will have three teams in the playoffs coming out of District 3-6A. Keller Central, Keller Timer Creek, and Keller Fossil Ridge are all heading to the playoffs. Fossil Ridge will go Div II while the other two will be Div I.

– You normally assume Euless Trinity will be a playoff team during any given year. Its just the reputation they’ve established through the years. Not this year. Trinity needs a win Friday night to make it, or a Byron Nelson loss and a Flower Mound win.

– DeSoto’s bracket destiny will ironically be determined by Grand Prairie’s performance this Friday. If the Gophers make the playoffs, DeSoto goes to Div I. If Grand Prairie misses the playoffs, DeSoto is top seed in Div II.

– Tyler John Tyler will be the district's No. 1 seed in Division II with a win OR a Longview loss. Longview would be the No. 1 seed in Division II with a win AND a John Tyler loss.

Of the Texas commits, Taquon Graham of Temple, Lagarryon Carson of Liberty-Eylau, Damion Miller of John Tyler, Montrell Estell of Hooks look to be heading to the playoffs next week. Carson’s status on the team is still in question.

SHA: Trinity and Marcus play Thursday. Crazy district with a lot of different outcomes with who wins on Thursday.

Trinity wins = they play Allen first round

Marcus wins = they play Allen first round

Trinity wins, Nelson loses, Flowermound wins = Flowermound plays Allen first round

Desoto goes small school with the Duncanville win and will miss a rematch with Allen.

Allen gets Trinity at home for Round 1 of playoff action. Should be a great game.

6A Division 1 bracket looks favorable for top teams, except for region 3 which looks brutal.
