TEXAS coaching staff moving into JESTER EAST with players for 2 weeks.. brilliant strategy!

HD Exclusive: Coaches and players moving in together For the next two weeks, all the UT coaches are moving into Jester East with the players - before the rest of the student population at UT arrives for the 2014-15 school year.

Living together, eating together, going to practice together and returning home together. It's all about becoming a team. 

I've said this a million times, and I'll say it a million times more: Strong is all about his players. 

Forget any media message, or  focusing on how to win over fans or  boosters, or any other popularity contests - those things don't win games in Strong's mind. 

Strong is all about getting close to his players, building a relationship with each one and getting the most out of that player as a person.

None of this stuff - having the coaches move in with the players - is done for show. It's done from the heart - to build a team. With fall camp here (players report Sunday), that starts now.

I lived at Jester East my freshman year 1974 - 1975.  I will say the Jester Cafeteria always provided good food, for breakfast, lunch and supper.  I made some good friends that year...hope they got their degrees and are successful in life.
