The 15th ranked Texas Longhorns men's basketball team are rolling along in conference play. Now the Longhorns will go on the road and play the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth. Here is our preview of the match up.

Game Time: 7:00pm

TV: Big 12 Network

Location: Daniel-Meyer Coliseum; Fort Worth, Texas.

Top Player:

Kyan Anderson

The Fort Worth native is the one bright spot on the depleted and overmatched Horned Frogs in Big 12 play. He averages 15 points per game. He has scored over 20 points in 2 of the last 3 games. He can be a matchup problem for the Longhorns.

Keys To Victory

Don't overlook TCU.

The Longhorns are on cloud 9. They just beat the tar out of the Kansas Jayhawks and now everyone is talking about how great they are and how they can win the Big 12. Unfortunately, the TCU Horned Frogs have been the Big 12's punching bag all season. They are just itching for a chance to prove that while they will not win the Big 12 or make the NCAA tournament, they can still derail some team's chances at doing that. They beat Kansas at home last year so who is to say they can't beat Texas at home? Texas can't afford to overlook TCU or let them hang around in this game. They have to show them right out of the gate that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Prediction

I expect the Texas Longhorns to struggle early. It's only natural to view an opponent as TCU as inferior to you. They haven't won a Big 12 game all year and Texas just knocked off the Kansas Jayhawks who have won the Big 12 for 9 straight seasons. After they wake up and start to execute the game plan, they should be able to pull away and get out of Fort Worth with a decisive victory.

Texas wins 82-58

Is the "Big 12 Network" on most cable packages? Don't think I've ever watched a thing on the Big 12 network.

It's normally on a local channel. In Houston I think it's Channel 55

My prediction: pain.

And the Austin channel for these is usually KBVO, or 1007 on UVerse.

It's also on ESPN3 so if your internet provider gets ESPN3 but it's not on your local TV, you can watch on watchespn.com and on the ESPN on Xbox Live app.
