Stewart issues a lot of free passes, HBU gets an RBI single and an RBI walk.  Pierce calls on Stevens with 2 outs, bases loaded.  Stevens comes in and gets a KS to end the frame

Midweek games is for seeing whatplayers can do. but why pulla pitcher who is 6 up and 6 down, for aguy who apparently cannot hit the broad side of a barn inside with the door shut.

Because he threw a career high last Tuesday, and was used on Sunday.  He was on a pitch count and he hit that point.

As to your 2nd question, I don't know.  I know that coaches are looking to see who can provide innings and throw strikes today.

I know you can take a 12 year old who is as wild as a march hare and train to throw strikes. Orns pitchers are young men and been in baseball quite a while.

B Texas bullpen has little confidence in themselves, and that's a huge issue.
