Thanks for the updates @joeywa! I was checking them throughout the day since the game wasn't on TV. Question, were the batters more aggressive at the plate than they were on Sat?

It was nice to take 2 of 3 at TCU however I'm greedy and wanted the sweep which was within their grasp.

BTW, anyone see the aggy vs Ol Miss game on Sunday (it was on ESPNU)? Frizzell (sp and/or name right?) hit a 2 out grand slam to give aggy the win. Dude might be an aggy but he can play some ball.

Texas pitching just allowed only 21 hits over 26 innings to a top 5 team in the country. Wow. Crazy impressive weekend on the mound. Several key defensive plays as well.

As far as the selective hitting thing goes, I feel that has been a staple for Texas even before Pierce with Augie's teams. Never had the highest team batting average but always a great OBP. The difference is this team has more power to do some real damage if they draw those walks.

Yall are right though. Difference in being selective early in the count and just taking a strike no matter what.

RE Agressive approaches: yes, by and large the hitters were more aggressive at the plate on Sunday.

Take care of business against WVU at home and see where the chips fall.

Some high school coaches do coach players to never swing at a first pitch curve ball.  Maybe some guys have a hard time shaking that when they get to the college level.

There are some guys that as the season goes on I would always give a green light, but I’m not getting paid the big bucks to get us to Omaha, either.
