Just got the confirmation email for tickets, so my wife and I will be heading out there for the game. Anyone else going?

I got 2 tickets also. We are going, but still looking for 2 more tickets. My kids will probably get these 2. My wife and I can watch in a bar on Bourbon Street.

Vowed to never go back to N O after my trip to the World's Fair in the 1980's. First thing we saw upon arrival was a female tourist that had been robbed and hit over the head with a tire tool in Jackson Square. The last straw was the $8 bottles of Miller beer.

Wife, son, daughter-in-law and myself going.    Spending New Year’s Eve in NO as well.   Charbroiled oysters here I come!

I don’t have tickets.    But, I will be with you in spirit, channeling good thoughts.

The last time I watched  a Longhorn game in NO, got up early and took a nice run through and around the French Quarter. Then, it was off to the game.

Great Day.

I have tickets.  My wife and a couple of friends of mine are going to fly my plane to NOLA.  Hopefully, the weather is good, otherwise, it will be a long drive.

No,  thanks for asking, but my friend reserved a couple of suites at the Omni Royal, in the Quarter.  It's a short walk from Petunia's, where we like to eat breakfast.

Maybe we will see you at the game

Edit:  I'm sorry, I thought I was replying to a PM.  I'm dumb.

Don't tell me you were at that VT disaster in '95?

No, doc, I wasn’t. My kiddo was 14 & deeply involved in gymnastics. They worked out every day but Christmas and Easter!

She was pretty good.  Six hours a day She had a 12 pack.

By the way, the French Quarter between 8 and 9 am is not nearly as attractive as it is late at night.

My wife and I weren't impressed with the French Quarter at all. It smelled of rotting garbage. You could even smell it in the restaurants.

You were probably smelling dead bodies.

My party is planning to be at Petunia's around 9ish.  Come on by and have breakfast with us.  I'm buying.  You will recognize me - 6'2", white-haired and extremely good looking.

And I will be the 7' Blonde haired sun God... :D

You're probably right about the dead bodies.
