'stros

The biggest change in the 'Stros?  Having the Ryan family running the show.  Worst move by the Rangers?  Turning everything over to Daniels.  Love me some 'Stros...

As a native H-town boy living in DFW, I really miss not having the Astros in the NL.

JD ain't no Billy Beane, unfortunately

I really don't understand what Nolan's function is with the Astros.  The younger Ryan's job is clear, but Nolan's?

Sure hope we do well in the up coming draft.  Any thoughts on who we should target with #2 & #5 picks?

Nolan is a figurehead. Luhnow has built this team.

this team is good and no fluke.

Its great to see the Astros winning. Just found out I have the Root channel on direct tv so I can now watch them

...this team is good and no fluke.....

.... and has some serious talent in the pipeline (like straight-from-Double-AA Lance McCullers, Jr pitching tonight)

+ 4 of the top 75 picks in the draft next month

I wish Dish would hurry and pick it up. I left Directv for Dish to get LHN before ATT bought Direct. Now I'm stuck with Dish for another year.

I need TP ....

The start of the triple play was the second outstanding defensive play this week for Villar.  In the ninth inning earlier this week (with Astros leading by a run), he fielded a ground ball at short and threw out a runner attempting to move from second to third (rather than making the easier play at first).  As it turned out that runner would have scored later in the inning.  Due to his play Astros won.

Ok, we're 54 games in. One-third through the season and after beating BAL for the 3rd straight game the Astros are 34-20. A 102-60 pace.

Three solo homers and great pitching tonight.

First place in June. Who'd-a-thunk it.
