Jordan Whittington is the guy I want to see from all the reports that I've read including praise from Herman  and Keontay Ingram. After missing out on the two 5 star running backs and Darrion Brown's health issues, it looks like we ended up with a 5 star running back after all.

The other player is of course is Bru McCoy. I also want to see the backup quarterbacks, Casey for backup this year and Roschon Johnson for the future. From the reports that I've read the offense is ahead of the defense, so it should be fun to watch. More fun than it was with Case McCoy or Tyrone Swoops.

Didn’t know where to put this: Question I saw on another board: Bru played both ways in high school. With our shortage in lb’s, is there any considerations of putting him there? We have a beavy of wrs right now, so why not?

My apologies if broached previously.

@Oldmanastro it's a good question. From what I've heard, Bru's best fit on defense would be coming off the edge at B-backer and Texas already feels good about what they have there in Joseph Ossai. Mac LB is the main concern where Bru doesn't fit as well. Plus I think Bru's heart is with the offense and Drew Mehringer who recruited him.

Lackluster start for both offensive units so far. A three and out by the ones and Thompson is picked off after a nice run.

Thus far the offense has been pretty stagnant outside of some nice runs by Casey Thompson. Pass pro has been pretty solid thus far from the OL. Guys just have to get open.

Shark McCulloch victimizes Ehlinger and almost returns it for 6. Great play by the upperclassmen LB.

Casey Thompson once again uses his legs to hurt the defense and finds the end zone on 4th and goal. First points of the game on the board.

Sam looked a little out of sorts in the 1st.  The wind could be causing some of that, but his decisions have been suspect.  Not concerned at all, but just something that has stood out.

Did the 1s play against each other with the other scrimmages?  Our 1 D seems to be playing well without our two starting safeties and Cook out.  However, it is a vanilla scrimmage of course.  Looking forward to the GT grad transfer guard getting to campus.
