William Russ is looking great. Didn't expect this from him after all the articles written about how bad the kicking was during spring practices and scrimmages. It's nice to see

Mack said it is still up in the air. Case could very well be a competitor for the spot.

I hope we don't yo-yo them like last season. Pick a guy and go with him

Early observations: I like Shipley as the punt returner. Very explosive. Ash looks like he is control a lot than last year. McCoy looks like nothing has changed. Bad arm angle, throws the ball with no authority.

Bergeron got the start the #1's.

New rule change, touchbacks are now at the 25 yd line.

Boy, Case looks lightyears ahead of where he was last year. He looks so comfortable. His 3 step drops are textbook right now

Early on WR depth is still an issue.

First offensive line has answered some questions so far. They are working well together and the TE's in run block look good as well.

1st quarter is done with the #1's looking very good. Will spend the 2nd quarter looking at the Texas defense.

McCoy and Ash having me scratching my head. Why are they continuing to throw to Carrington Byndom's side? That's not the guy to pick on

Why in the hell is Jaxson Shipley not our quarterback? Dude is awesome.

There is a clear distinction in where the #1's are vs the #2's. Up front is where its obvious.

JD, I hear what you are saying, but its clear that Ash is in total control of this offense. Body language is completely different than last year.

Halftime. Honoring Fozzy with am award. Thoughts from first half, the scrimmage is clearly pointed at emphasizing the offensive side of the ball.

Ash is the clear #1 at this point. Managed the offense very well.

Where is DJ Monroe and his expanded role?

Joe Bergeron is a MAN!!!

The OLine looks good.

No clear depth at WR yet.

Jeremy Hills is saying don't forget about me.

I don't like Mike Davis in any return role.

Is it ok to have a man crush on Jaxson Shipley? Love him at punt returner. He looks healthy and faster.

McCoy will get someone hurt with his beachball floating passes.

I like William Russ at punter. Pruitt has been solid but nothing spectacular.

This defense will dominate next year but don't look for anything today. It's too much of a controlled environment.

Brewer is going to be special for Texas but he should red shirt. Good drive for him.

The second team defense is not very good. They are talented but young and inexperienced. One of the things that will help this team in the fall is staying healthy.

A lot of youngsters in. I love this part because you get to see some of the future.

I agree 100%. The team as a whole is a year away because of the lack of depth. If Texas can stay healthy they will be fine. Any injury issues this team is in trouble.
