Texas associate head coach Ehren Earleywine is no longer with the program. He accepted an assistant coach position at Tennessee.

The Texas Longhorn softball program has won back-to-back national championships and is expected to load up this offseason as they go for the three-peat. They just made their first big move, landing Arizona State Sun Devils transfer Samantha Swan, the top catcher in the portal.

Swan, who is from Georgetown, Texas, announced the news Wednesday on social media. She spent three years at Arizona State and will have one season of eligibility for Texas. With former star Reese Atwood out of eligibility, she gives Texas a proven player behind the plate as they look to keep things rolling.

While she was a three-year starter, Swan had a breakout junior season and helped Arizona State reach the Austin Super Regional, where they fell to the Longhorns in three games. She went 4-10, hitting one home run and 5 RBI against her new team.
